New here and not sure which rewards to do

Im trying to learn this but once again, im confused. lol. I have resevations at the coronado for 6/1/07-6/08/07 and the cost is 1600.00 with the 200.00 due by 3/1. I dont want to pay any of the bill until im getting a reward off of it. But I dont know who to use or how to do it. I signed up with sr and qr and started looking around last night and today. I dont have a disney credit card so im going to be purchasing disney cash cards to pay with my trip with. If I do this tonight, will I have enough to get the cards and pay the bill before the 3/6/07 deadline?

I'm not sure that I'm understanding what you are asking correctly, but are you saying that you need the gift cards by 3/06/07 to pay off your entire balance?

Basically, if you wanted to receive rewards for paying off your trip, you would have to pick a rewards site to shop through (SR, QR, or another) and click their disneyshopping.com link to order disney gift cards that you could use to pay for your trip. Disneyshopping.com would then send you the gift cards in the mail and you would receive a certain percent of your order in your SR or QR account. However, I don't know that I would trust getting them in time to pay for your trip since you only have 5 days. It is possible that they would arrive in time, but disneyshopping is sometimes on the slow side. I personally would not trust them to get them to me in 5 days.

I use both QR and SR. They both have great customer service. I do both because once in awhile one will have a better promo then the other or an offer the other doesn't offer. Like last month Qr offered 10% at Disney and Sr offered 8%. That was a special for February so I am not sure what percentage back they are offering this month. Also disney does take a long time to ship gift cards so it probably wouldn't get them in time to pay for the first payment.

We all here at disney reward programs discuss the offers at these two fairly well so I know what ones I am comfortable doing.

They are both great sites with great owners but I usually just stick with SR if I know I am cashing out for Disney $$ because she sometimes has some great cashout offers like get a $50 Disney GC for $45 or a $25 for $24.
But I am 99.9% positive you won't recieve your giftcards in time to pay your balance off especially such a high $$ amount. There have been several people who order large $$ of giftcards and had trouble getting them to OK the purchase.

ETA:I would call them and see if they can extend your payment date if you are using any codes or discounts. If not I would just let the reservation go and rebook when you have the giftcards and don't mind changing resorts if the one you want is booked. Right now QR is offering 4.1% and SR is offering 4%. In your case I would just buy through just one site so you can get the most of your rewards since they do have a minimum to cash out.

I think what amazes me most about the Dis boards forum is just how helpful everyone is. I dont think you guys realize how invaluable you are to those of us who are new and confused about so much of the disney stuff. I'm hooked but still have so much to learn. Thank you to all of you, and most of all thanks for all of your patience when us "newbies" arent "getting it" lol.
