Hey Guys!

I am sooo excited about our next Disney World Vacation that I hope I can share it with you ;)

I went to Disney World in the Summer of 2005 for the first time!
I was a Nanny and "my family" used to live really close to Disney and would go every other Weekend. The kids werent too excited about going there anymore and the mom knew everything so he would run in the front and I was in the back trying to not loose the kids. It was a horrible vacation but Disney had a huuuuge impact on me anyhow.

This year my husband and I actually got to go together! 4 days just him and me and being able to explore and see whatever we want!
He has 2 girls from his first marriage but his Ex-Wife wouldnt let us take them :(
We felt soooo bad in Disney and soooo guilty because we knew they would love it so much!
We even went and met cinderella to get them a short video and a signature. they love it!

Well things changed and the girls are living with us now. they just turned 3 and 6 and in March we will take them to their first ever Disney World Vacation!
Im sooo excited!
I showed them videos about Disney World and found out that they dont know most characters!
So we studied and now they know Mickey, Minnie, Goofy etc.

Im gonna see later if there is a part on the message board for my question but I would like to know which movies you think a child should see before Disney World?

Anyway I actually just wanted to say hi real quick
I hope youre all as excited as me ;)

First of all, welcome to the DIS!
I'm sure you and your family will have a great time. What movies to see? Have they seen the most recent ones? The Toy Story's would be a great place to start. Try to rent/borrow some of the classics too 'though. Especially Cinderella. Hmmm... actually that would be my number 1 pick. After all, it's her castle. If you're going to do any of the Princess meals (my DDs 4 & 8 at the time, loved those) I would suggest also seeing Snow White, Little Mermaid, Mulan, Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin. Good luck! :goodvibes

Hi and welcome to the site! Our kids are similar in age....when we go in January they'll be almost 7 and 4. We can not wait! Our son was just over 2 when we went the first time and at that age he didn't know much of the characters so this age will be a much better experience. You got good suggestions on movies. I heard Fantasia is coming out soon....hope it does before we go. Anyway...have fun!

Welcome to the Dis Boards!!:yay:

You've already gotten some good tips: For girls, you need to watch any movie that has a Princess in it!!!
My personal suggestion: Put everything else on hold, and watch nothing but Disney movies until the day you leave. :yay:
