Hi I wanted to introduce myself. My husband and I just booked our first WDW vacation. We're going towards the end of Oct. We're staying at the CBR for 4 nights and got the free meal plan :woohoo:

DH has always wanted to visit WDW and I've been to Disneyland as a kid a few times. We have two young children (under 2) but they're staying home with the grandparents so we can get away for a little bit. We figure we'll go and figure things out then in a few years (5) we'll plan a trip with them. In the meantime we will probably take them to Disneyland.

We're trying to learn as much about WDW as we can in the few weeks we have left before departing. We're so excited. I never thought I'd be this excited for WDW as an adult.

My wife and I took an adults only trip several years ago. It was one year after our first trip with the kids. Like you we wanted to see more nad plkan better for the next trip with the kids. Do some resort hopping to tour the various resorts that look appealing. I bet you leave wanting to schedule the trip with the kids sooner than 5 years from now.

Hi and welcome! You're going to have such a good time!!!!

Take a look at information on Photopass. Disney has photographers in the park who will take your picture. They'll scan it onto a card with a barcode. Then you can buy any or all-- there's a CD you can purchase if you choose. We LOVE it, even though my husband works with a photo studio (when he's not teaching English).

Also, make SURE you understand how Fastpass works. It can save you lots of time you would otherwise spend waiting on line.

You're on the DDP-- have you made ADRs? (Advance Dining Reservations). You'll want them; othewise you run the risk of missing out on some pretty amazing restaurants. Some of my personal favorites include:
- Le Cellier in Epcot. (Dinner now counts as 2 meals on DDP, but a late lunch is still 1.)
- Yak and Yetti in Animal Kingdom. What a delightful respite from the heat!
- 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian (easy to reach from the Magic Kingdom.) We do the dinner with Cinderella and the Step family. It's kind of loud, and a buffet, but the step sisters are hysterical!!!
-The Coral Reef in Epcot. I've never seen a more stunning restaurant. And I love the Mahi mahi.

Have a wonderful trip!

Hello. You are in for a treat. My wife and I vacationed at WDW before our sons came along. Definately a more relaxing experience. In fact we're plannings crusie next summer just the two of us. :cool2:
