Exactly. I’m worried we’re going to be lumped in with the clueless/careless and not going to be welcome in Hana.
I've never gotten anything but extreme hospitality. I think it's pretty easy to tell who is respectful and who isn't (not as a matter of public policy, but in human-to-human interactions).
Me too—but that was pre-covid and I’m a touch nervous. There are some in Hana who really enjoyed the tourists being gone. The ones who own businesses there, not so much, I think. I just worry a little. I made a backup reservation elsewhere on the island just in case….but I sure hope that isn’t necessary. Hana is our main priority for this trip.
It'd be nice if that was the case, but the movie "Deliverance" suggests otherwise.
