The last release followed the pattern that:

The week they come out in the parks, the following Monday morning (2am) they are loaded onto the DS site.
The smith bag has not followed this pattern lately and nobody has seen it online in months - that I'm aware of.

So have folks seen them on the DSL site at 2:00 am Pacific, Standard, or Central time zone? When I've called Disney Merchandise Services, I've gotten different answers about when they update. Also, one of the reviewers of the Smith bag on the site said she ordered hers one night at 7:00 pm! I know I check every few hours, but no luck for over a year. Any thoughts about chances for tonight? Thanks, all!

I got mine around 3:20am est on monday, October 13. I dont believe they ever showed up in the item listing, you had to find them via the item number. Hope this helps!

Also, I would make sure that you really want it.. returns have to be done via mail. Im returning my tote because its just too big for me.

I checked back a few pages, and it looks like the last time they went up online, it was around 3:20 a.m. EST (per post #949). I found them by doing a search for Haunted Mansion Dooney as someone else on this thread suggested. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info! I'm on vacation, so I'll be staying up later for good measure. I've just missed them a few times in the past. Once because I was at a concert (would've stayed home, could I do it again), and two other times, because I nodded off and woke up too late (don't know how long they were up, the blue "Add To Cart" button was still there, but did not work). Anyhow, I am sooo happy that the Smith and Tote are so large. I actually gave up trying to carry a small bag. I carry everything including the kitchen sink, so if I'm lucky enough to get them, the bigger the better! Anyhow, thanks again, fingers crossed...
 
Well, my letter carrier has already developed the dreaded flaking on two bottom corners which is pretty sad considering the short amount of time I've carried it. :sad2: Since this seems to be fairly common with these, I'm hesitant to go through the trouble of returning it (good chance the next one might as well). Due to the coloring, I could actually camouflage it with a Sharpie, and I doubt anyone would notice. I haven't done anything to it yet. What do you guys think?
 
@Stitchrulz - that stinks! I would def not do any sharpie coloring yet, though. Mine is flaking up near the zipper on both sides. I really need to return it to D&B. However, I'm sure the next one will probably have the same problems. :( Ideally, I'd like a refund, but I didn't keep my receipt - don't know if that would be possible.

I'm sorry to hear that! You would think after all of the first round people returned them to fix the red, they would have made sure the flaking would not be an issue... I still love my bag but am very sad because I have no problems with my other 10 Disney D&B bags. I have also noticed that the new (green, red bag) top flap kinda sits weird.. it like caves in on itself where as my first one didn't do that! but that's really just me being critical lol. I haven't gotten any flaking on mine yet but my handles again are worn like the other one already. I still love the design and want the wristlet which I will hopefully be able to get in 18 days :hyper:
 
Sadly, I'm joining the "flaking" club. :( I got the Smith bag back in May online, but since I had just purchased the Mickey Main Street bag too, I used that one all summer. I literally just started using the Haunted Mansion bag in early October. Already 3 of the bottom 4 corners have white spots, 1 of them is pretty significant. Plus a little along the top too. I could accept this with a $50 bag, but at over $400 with tax & shipping, I think NOT! I will probably return & try a replacement. A few questions: I never registered the bag, does that make a difference? And if I accept a replacement, and it happens again, can I still return that 1 for a refund? TIA!

That's what I'm afraid of: if it gets worse. As it is, I'm sure no one will notice it but me. Maybe I'll register it now, I've been meaning to do that anyway. And see what happens in a month or so. If it gets worse, I think I'll try to get a replacement. But if it happens a second time, I'd want a refund.

I have a Princess Marathon bag I used for 2 summers & the Main Street bag I used from May- October. No problems with either of those. Thank goodness.

Mine has too.:sad: I am new to the D&B bags, really it is my first expensive bag I ever bought. I am a bit gutted over it. I don't know how they would handle a return from the UK to get it fixed.
 
For the price of these bags, DEFINITELY send it in for repairs.!
Your gorgeous bag deserves better than a Sharpie makeover. Lol ;)
 
Over on the D&B Facebook group people are reporting at this point (with the LC) that they are only being offered refunds at this point by Dooney. Repair is currently not an option for those who sent theirs in. Keep that in mind for those of you thinking of sending in for repair.

I'm scared to start using my bag, and that shouldn't be the case

Thanks so much for that info! I really do like the bag, so if it's a refund or dealing with it, I guess I'll hold for now. It's really sad that the quality is so sketchy, especially with how popular this line is. :(
 
At cherry tree lane and they have the smith bag. Just in case anyone is looking.
 
They had a good selection at Uptown Jewelers last night; I was able to get the Shopper!
