The book should end with Harry realizing that this magic has all been some crazy dream kind of thing, and Harry is considered criminally insane and has been using a shotgun as a wand and bullets as magic spells.

That would be so incredibly awesome that I might actually read the last two books.

I thought that for a while, too. Also, remember how you have to really want to kill someone to perform an unforgivable curse (according to miss LeStrange)? I didn't think Snape really wanted to kill Dumbledore... And also I thought that the pheinox crying at the end meant that Fawkes was healing Dumbledore.

Ok, I can live with that as a source. I didn't know if it was just from a
fansite, where anyone could make up 'facts'. I'm just really surprised she
was as forthcoming about those spoilers, though.

Being a genius? And just worndering, but why do you think has the series gotten worse after the fourth movie- no books have come out since then.

First rule of reading: Never try to follow a book series with movie versions. There are ALWAYS things missing or added.
