NEW Harambe Nights event Summer 2014 Animal Kingdom

I lined up the second they announced they were getting ready to open the doors…the 1st two rows were reserved for VIP guests (not sure who that was, but it wasn't us "lowly" Premium-paying peeps...)

I heard they were WDW executives and the families of the performers.

You did great getting the 3rd row. I'm going to take your advice and that of another poster to hang out by the food near the premium entrance so I'll be right there when they announce the time to line up. Hope I get lucky!

I read in a trip report that the premium seats are the Lion section. She also said the entry for premium seating are the exit doors for the theatre. Hope that won't change because that's where I plan to be and from what I understand there are food tables right there as well.

Sorry to hear that. I hope it clears up for the street party after the show...it rained on our night June14th and it was not organized at all

I must have been in a different line than u because I was able to walk up with no wait! They also did drinks going into the theatre that did have some wait time but I think I only waited 2 minutes in that line and then was seated in the cheetah section -4th row up and dead center! Show was awesome!

I was there and never waited more than 5 minutes for a drink. I didn't mind Pizzafari as we weren't there long, thought the lion king show was really spectacular and I loved the street parade. I think this was an extremely well done event by Disney.

I was there tonight with my DD14 and the show was amazing! We both loved it. Michael Beach did a great job as narrator. It was all that we wanted and more. Yes, it rained a lot but we still managed to have a great night. The food and drinks were plentiful you just had to move on to different stations. There was a huge buffet inside Tusker House with no line!

Free ponchos were nice! They gave them out at the gate and also at stations throughout the event.

The Tree of Life was beautiful. Just an amazing time for us. Well done, Disney! This just might have been the highlight of our trip.

We loved it as well! We walked by Pizzafari about 630 and were encouraged by CM to go on to Tusker House, where there were no lines. Theatre opened about 7 and we went it to get good premium seats (DD 7 said she could see). We really enjoyed the show, including the film clips, which set it apart from the other LK shows. Saw Michael Beach later on watching the Harambe Band - he was very graciously mingling with the guests. Great night!

So happy to hear the great reviews and the great customer service efforts. Disney has been failing in many cases with all of their MB related upgrade issues. Thank you for the feedback/review. I have a glimmer of hope that things will return to normal one of these days.

I had a great time as well! I loved the fun atmosphere and mood of all of the cast members. It was a great event!

Just curious as to why they are doing the pre-show at Pizzafari. Was it raining? Too hot? I really liked the pre-show outside the theater...

They move the events inside for weather issues.
