New Guide, closing costs and BLT

I had just returned from a trip to WDW and I was kind of concerned. Usually I would get a message from my guide telling me welcome home and if I had time I would stop by and say hello. Well imagine my surprise when I called today and found out he no longer works there. So I have a new guide, Robert Guzman.

The reason for my calling was to verify the paying of closing costs. Well we do have to pay and he told me that if I had decided to add points (160) at BLT, it would be approx. $300 for closing costs. Not alot but hey I loved not paying closing costs. Not only that, points are now $130 per point at BLT but it will be going up to $140 on June 8th. They expect to be selling out soon.

It seems that several Guides may have left Disney so you are not alone. Charging for closing costs is just another easy way to increase profits.

I had read a thread where some had new guides but couldn't find it. I just wish they would have called to let me know he left.
