New Golden Mickey Ears

I know with the regular black Mickey ears they embroider them with the yellow/gold thread. What about the new golden ears? Do they still use the yellow thread making it pretty much pointless to have it done?? Or do they use a different color thread??

My Golden ears are stitched with white thread. They look nice.

So you can see your name on the ears then? I want to get some done for the kids and have them ready for us when we get there but didn't want to get their names on them if you can't see it.

You can also have them embroidered at Days Of Christmas at DTD. It costs $7 to have it done, but you get to pick the font and the color you want. They have four different fonts (Print to Script) and six different colors. They do a very nice job.

Mine are embroidered with white thread too. However, the embroidering didn't cost me anything extra. I bought my ears at one store, then had to bring my receipt to have them embroidered. Also, the Adult size ears cost $10.95. I'd accidently bought the youth ones and when I went back to exchange them, I found out I had to pay $1.

I just got from WDW this past Monday. We bought the adult Golden Ears at the Pop Century gift shop...they were $11.50. I still have my receipt as proof.

That is true. The adult size is $11.50. I thought the OP wanted information on child size. They are $9.95 at WOD at DTD.

That's odd. I thought I paid $9.95 for my adult golden ears on Main St (at the hat shop). And I had them embroidered (free). Either way, I love 'em.
Plus if anyone here plays VMK, guests buying any hat get a free coded card to wear golden ears in VMK. That being said I have not been in VMK for around a month, and am assuming the cards are still available with a purchase of any hat at the Main St hat store.

I'd love to see pictures of the Golden Ears. We are having the IPO staff purchase gifts for the kids and place them in out room. We are getting ears for sure, but not sure if we want the plain black ones or the golden ones.

We have a pair of golden Mickey ears.

Some friends brought us gold Mickey ears from WDW (I don't know exactly where she bought them); she was there over 4th of July. I believe the the WDW ears price tag said $9.95. Our name is in white thread & very visible. to the best of my knowledge these are adult ears. If they aren't, then they are awfully big!

Other friends brought us back gold Mickey ears from DL. White thread again, still plenty visible, but a different script (same name on both, different script). The DL ears were about $1.50 more than the WDW ears.

Both are on display in my living room!

Normally, the only way to get Disney to put things in your room ahead of time is to stay concierge level or order them from another vendor who will deliver them to your resort.
