New Gold Pass...photopass?

Here's a question for you all!

We just returned from WDW and have a ton of photopass pics in our account. We did not purchase memory maker. If I were to buy a new DVC gold annual would the photopass in my account currently be available for immediate download? If I buy the gold pass today, but I don't plan to activate until Dec 2016 is that ok? Do vouchers expire?

The details on the passes say you can download all the pictures taken during the time the pass is active so if your pass was not active during your trip you do not get to download them even if you get the pass later. Also you would not be able to download unless the pass was active (or was previously active) so buying a voucher would not give you download privileges.

I am not sure this is completely accurate. My Sister just upgraded her DVC regular AP to the gold one last week. Since she and I are linked in MDE, I just downloaded photopass pictures from my September trip. I did not have memory maker in September and I still do not have a gold AP, but I was able to download and share pictures taken on my trip last month.

Don't know all of the rules on this new gold AP and the free photopass. The details may be "fluid" right now.

I'm wondering since your sister already had an AP then switched to the gold pass is why?! I do not currently have an AP of any sort

It would be a $500 gamble!! I do intend to get the pass but I really do not need it anytime soon.

Since she and I are linked in MDE, I just downloaded photopass pictures from my September trip. I did not have memory maker in September and I still do not have a gold AP, but I was able to download and share pictures taken on my trip last month.

If her Ap was active in September and she upgraded her gold pass starts when her old AP started so it would have been active in September. As far as who can download I suspect that is somewhat fluid but the rules specifically say you can only use photos from active pass times.

Yes I agree this is probably why, because her new gold pass has the same dates as her previous pass, so in the system it would show it was active from the date the previous pass was activated. So it magically gave you both access to all the pictures in there.
