So I lost my Garmin that I've had for about 4 years.
I want to get another one and was looking at the Garmin 910XT. It supposedly will track time & distance for swim, bike and run. I like this becuase then I don't have to try to remember my lap count when swimming.
But it is a bit pricey ($400). Does anyone have one of these? There is the Garmin 310XT for ($300) that is waterproof, but it doesn't calculate swim distance.

DW purchased mine earlier this month and I like it much better than my 305. Have set the screens for biking and running so far for my 72.2 duathlon in 4 weeks and will add the swim screens today since we are joining the County pool tomorrow so I can start my swim training for triathlons.

Very easy to read, even with 4 functions showing on the face. Only problem so far has been some erroneous spiking of HR but that might have happened because the contacts did not have sufficient moisture.

Lightweight, feels better on my arm than 305, like the band better, a bit easier for function changing, :thumbsup2 getting ready to head out for a 72.2 distance training session in 20 minutes.

Would recommend it over the others.

Hi Terri!

I've lost my Garmin, too! I'm not sure it made it back from our Disney trip in January. :( Glad you asked about the 910XT because I've been wondering if it might be one to consider. I don't swim now but do walk/run and bike. I would like to do a Tri sprint maybe next year and it sounds like it might be good for that.

John, good luck on your Tri! Is that a half Ironman?

Thanks John!

Hey Susie - I figured if I have to get a new one, might as well get one that will cover all 3 events and meet my needs. Hoping to catch it on sale somewhere, though.

My goal is to accomplish a half Ironman, at 61.5yo not getting any younger, but that will have to wait until I perfect a stroke or combination of strokes since my right shoulder has limited rotation due to bone on bone grinding and pain.

My first venture into a multi sport event will be the half Ironman Duathlon March 25th. So glad I have the 910XT.
