New Garden Grill vs. Old Garden Grill?

Someone help me out here. We LOVED GG before the refurb but I'm having a hard time convincing myself to go to the new and improved GG.

There are several entree's to choose from and you can choose more than one, right? I really liked the fried catfish they had there, I'm gonna miss it!

What do y'all think?

I'm surprised that you were told that. Since they re-did the Land Pavilion, they changed the menu. Chek out www.allearsnet.com for the new menu.

I'm gonna miss the rolls and honey butter too....

We loved GG and were very excited when it was open in early May 2005 and we were able to eat there. However we were dispointed, the new menu nothing on it was a good and we actually left a little hungery. They did say we could have more of anything we wanted, but only after we asked. It was order one meal (not family style) and I had the steak, it was alright. Hubby had a pasta, it to was ok, but not outstanding.

Like you I missed the catfish. The old menu was much better, they tried to "class it up" but didn't do such a good job.

If you had never been there and tried it for the 1st time it might of been ok, not knowing what you were missing.

I hope they will or have changed it back.

BTW the new sunshine food fair was ok (fair) but very pricey for what you got. (even more so then normal Disney prices.)

it sounds like they tried to snazz it up a bit. I'm gonna avoid it all together . Just have to find something new in Epcot.

Actually, the original Garden Grill was not a character meal, and was a regular table service meal with fresh, delicious and somewhat upscale choices on the menu. I wish they would return to that...I think there are way too many "character meals" that are all inclusive. Even with the prices, they have to pay for the entertainment and the food quality suffers.
