Too bad I am too lazy and tired from work to take a pic now but I will do something a little different. There will be a prize but PLEASE be honest (swear to Walt that you will not cheat at this! You CAN google the answer to this but if you do, a big bird will poo on your head and you will feel guilty everytime you look at your prize!) Also if you have heard and already know this, please do not play!!!

Ok...a brain teaser. Got this from my supervisor at work today when he visited our class.

There are two rooms with a hallway in between. Both rooms are closed off with doors, you cannot see one room from the other AT ALL. No windows, nothing. One room has three light switches, the other has three light bulbs. You do not know which switch goes to which bulb. You are in the room with the switches, which are off, and your mission is to turn whatever switches you want on or off, and go into the other room with the light bulbs. You cannot go back to the switch room, but you have to be able to tell which switch goes to which light. Your only trip is from the switch room into the light room, that is all. And again, you cannot see one room from the other in any way. How can you do this so that you can tell for sure how all three switches and lights match up?



I worked real hard on a crude drawing of the rooms using dashes and O's and stuff, and in the preview it came out all wrong total waste of 5 mins. You can picture it though.

Good luck, and again...no cheating! I trust you! BIRD POOP! Prize is undecided but may not be too great considering the answer can be found online (BIRD POOP!)

Hon, you must be looking at an earlier photo that was already guessed. What we are going for now is the riddle or brain teaser on my last post! Just a few above this one. (I think the one you were guessing was a flute was probaby the battery inside a tv remote! )

first turn one light on and leave it on for a few minutes, then tunr it of. turn on another switch then go into the light room. the light that is on connects to the switch that is turned on. the light bulb that is hot connects to the first switch, and the cold bulb belongs to the third switch.

Turn 2 of the switches on, count to 30 and then turn 1 of the switches off. Go into the light bulb room and feel the two bulbs which are not on. If the bulb is hot, then that's the 1 you turned just turned off; If it's cold, then it's the one you didn't touch; and if one is on then it's the one you left on!

Go me! Woot woot! (And I didn't go to google! )

It took me about 5 mins, because someone asked me this a long time ago and I was trying to remember how to answer it.
