New Free Dining Pin

If this has been posted - sorry - I looked - but it is late

I just got an email for a pin code offering Free Dining for 4/19-5/21 for value resorts 5 days/5 nights with base tickets - 535.00 per adult (double occupancy)

and 5/22-6/27 (same as above) for 563.00 per adult

We booked the 4 - 3 deal but I think that this saves us more - with our family of 5 - at Port Orleans - 2 adult and 3 children. for 7 nights - 6 day hopper tickets. Anyone got any ideas on that - I will call in the morning to check - but I think it is about a 150.00ish difference.

Oh - also - does anyone know if they allow the family suite to be used in the free dining offers?

suites were included in bounceback....................I wish it was for Febuary instead of the 7 for 4 deal, I have a feeling that disney is going to be coming out with many deals soon

when are you going? we do deluxe dining so that would be a huge savings for us but the times are not good for us, that time frame is way to crowded for our taste, we only go early feb and mid sept.............

Yeah - we only really like Sept also (and we pull the kids when we go then) But DH has been deployed for the last yr and I graduate May 8th - And DH leaves again for 6 months in June 09 - so we are outta luck with Sept, Oct or Nov....and I am NOT going for Christmas (been there - way to crowded). So, we are planning on May 17-24th. Im hoping it will just be moderately crowded.

We are going for 3 weeks in June and would love to get this email, we are going over Christmas with free dining.

I was hoping for a bounceback free dining when we get there in December, but would love to get a email and book it now!

Yes it's a pin code offer so it's only good for the person that recieved the email. Make sure you're signed up at disney.com, I have a feeling they'll be sending out lots of these offers.

Has anyone booked this offer yet? Is the free dining mean the new counter service package? Doesn't that go into effect January 1st?

I'm not going to be able to use this pin code, but I'm hopeful this means there are a lot of good offers coming. I'd really love to see free dining offered earlier this year.

You must need a pin code for this one as I called Disney and spoke to a CM. She put me on hold to see what was available and nothing for me. It would be nice if they would either email me a pin or expand it to be available to everyone or cardholders. The CM didn't seem to think that the free dining was cheaper for me than the 7/4 deal... she didn't know what she was talking about as I have 5 in my party and pay about $170 a day for dining times 7 nights vs. the free nights stay and tickets which amount to about $700. Here's hoping for a pin!

I got 2 pin codes in my email last night! One was for Free Dining which unfortunately I don't think we'll be using (we're planning on going in September for GP free dining). The other one was a pin code to get a $500 Disney Merchandise Credit for only $395 to use on my upcoming trip.

The pin fairy was good to me last night It's the first time I've ever gotten any!

What I've noticed in the past is that pin code offers eventually become cardholder specials, then general public codes. I bet you'll get a crack at it soon.

It didn't get me anywhere, but I complained to guest services anyways - I understand the idea of pin codes being completely random, but if you get one, why wouldn't you be able to choose between the 3 deals since they're all similar cost savings? (I priced them out based on 2 adults in a room, 2 adults 1 child, 3 adults, 2 adults 2 children, etc...there ARE differences, but not drastic ones)

They basically said it's completely random what gets sent, it's sent by the marketing department, and they can't give a different code than the one you receive (all of which I knew). My complaint was that we don't have kids at all, so we'd be paying rack rate for the package we were sent. I was thinking we might convince friends with kids to go along on our trip in June, but since we wouldn't book this rate for US, we can't book it for them. So, Disney just lost an extra booking.

I hate the idea of the pins - sending emails out randomly makes very little sense to me - and then when they do it like this where its a 33% chance you can take advantage of it, that leaves a very negative impression on me.

Luckily we have the 4/3 package and saved a lot of money that way - I'm just venting about pin codes, I guess
