New free dining offer yeaaah

Holy cow! What a day! Up before 6am...on hold with CRO...and then the crash! After an hour of silent holding, I did get through and get booked for Pop in preferred rooms for Dec 2-10 (us) and Dec 2-6 (my parents). :cheer2:
 
Thanks, danny25! I booked my trip with free dining online around 9:30 this morning in like 2 seconds! Soo happy you were right! Thanks a million for the heads up!!!!!
 
Be careful because you may have to buy two sets of park tickets and start all over on the second reservation. That would really eat into your cost savings!

You could (irrespective of the policy allowing you to pick up package tickets early) do a couple things:

You could save the 2 day base tickets from the 2nd ressie for a future trip (which would offset future costs)

OR

Use the 2 day base tickets from the 2nd ressie to upgrade 4/5 day tickets you buy, for use the first few days of the trip. The only issue is that the 2 day base tickets might be worth more than the upgrade price to get from 4 day passes to 10 day hoppers. Maybe upgrade them to something with a non-expiry option on them to save future days?

Either way, there's ways to mitigate the lost savings. It's important to remember you only NEED to have 2 day base tickets on your package to qualify for Free Dining.
 

Anyone still not get through?? I've held a total of 4 hours!! I give up. I hope i can get a standard room at pop for feb 12-17 later today or tomorrow.. :sad2:

I hate to say it..but I think some of the early callers got thrown into que "hades".

People who've called more recently seem to have had MUCH lower wait times than those that called at 7 AM. I think the phone system routed people into LONGER overflow ques, which are still full, while the "normal" ques have cleared out.

Do you have a cell phone? I'd almost suggest calling from a second line and seeing if you can get through quicker. Or (and I cringe saying this) hang up and try again (until you get passed the all circuits are busy now message).

Yeah, that's the only part is the park tickets. I guess I'm going to have to pass and if need be I'll just order her meal from the kids menu.

She just turned 2 this month so I guess it was a good thought at first.

Haven't read all the posts after this one, so apologize if it's been mentioned, but definitely not worth the price difference for the tickets...since the kids DP is only like $10 or $12/day ...you could buy her 2 kids meals/drinks a day for prob about $20/day after tax....that's much cheaper than buying her park tix to get free dining...good luck and have a great trip! :banana:

Did you try online? I booked POP for October in like 5 minutes at around 6:45 a.m. PST So much easier than waiting on hold.
 
I have called back 3 times, been put on hold, and stayed there for over an hour each time. A total of 70 calls this morning witht the busy signals. I can't book online. I'm already booked for November actually, and I am a TA so i have to keep calling the TA line to make my changes.. This is giving me a headache! Well this on top of a toddler that is refusing to nap today. lol
I just want to spend valentines day in WDW! :love:
 
I finally just got a prompt saying the wait time is over 45 minutes.. BLAH! That wouldn't be bad if i hadn't already sat on hold for so long today. My phone is going to end up dying or i'm going to go over my minutes! :lmao:
 
She priced it out for two reservations... saves us $600 (after tax, split park tickets, etc.). Well worth it.
 
Kept trying off and on to call and was always getting the "all circuits are busy" when it did just ring I was on hold for under 3 minutes. Keep trying!!!!

I just checked online and your dates are available at POP. Can't you just book it online and then call the other number to cancel November in a few days when it's less busy? Or do you get a better price using TA line?

If you are 2A inc 2 day base tix and free QSDP it would be $919.46 for standard view room. Good luck

There is something wrong with that call! I'd start over. Call 407-939-7675 - the number for reservations.

I could book online, but then i have to get a refund, and that takes a little longer to do since i have to fill out some papers for my agency.. I don't want to have that money tied up. BLAH! Hopefully i'm booked in the next 45 minutes!! I need a little pixie dust!!
 
So frustrated with our AAA agent. I emailed her yesterday with all the details to change our package first thing this morning. She knew we were waiting for this Free Dining promotion when we booked two months ago and said it would be no problem. Called this morning when her office opened at 8:30 AM to make she she was working on it. Called again over 3 hours later because I hadn't heard anything... and she hadn't even started looking into it!:headache:

We have 3 families (10 pp) going for 14 days. This is a huge $$$ saving deal for us. I am going to be so angry if she blows it! This is our fourth big Disney trip booked through them in 6 years. I would think customer loyalty should count for something. Grrrrr!
 
Hopefully there will be another code in the future for August 2012. Last year we booked FD at the end of August for this August... I miss the bounceback deals!
