New free dining offer yeaaah

Was on hold this morning from 5:59am(cst) - 7:33am before a sweet cm named "Marshall" picked up. Very knowledgeable and had some good chuckles over the whole craziness of everything. I was able to modify my existing ressie by moving pkg a day and adding a room-only at beginning. In the end:

Room-only 10/22 with AAA disc CSR preferred rm
MWY pkg with FREE DINING 10/23-10/29 CSR preferred rm


So excited!!!! One last hurdle.....job interview tomorrow. Hoping to get job AND the OK to take off 3 days (school district job and 2 days are already slated as days off due to teacher convention) fingers crossed......

Free dining added to our package for Feb. We arrive on the last day in early Feb, so we were able to add it to our entire stay. Makes me wonder, however, if the Feb week we're there (4-9) will be busy. Crowd calendar looks like a 5 or so. That's not too bad. Anywho, a room discount would be better but this saves us 500 bucks. I'll take it. If a room discount comes out, I'll probably swap to save another 200 bucks instead, but we'll see. Oh, BTW, was only on hold for 5 minutes. Called the (407) number.

I was told I was getting an email showing the modified reservation but I haven't gotten it yet. I imagine their system is a little behind though, lol. Has anyone who has called to add on the FD to an existing ressie gotten their email yet?

Well I was on hold a little less than an hour and a half and got thru to a VERY nice CM. Got free dining for Oct. 7-15! Saved $292.80. Oh, and I opted to just have the refund put on my Key to the World card toward charging purchases rather than a refund to my credit card. Didn't even know that that could be done!
Thanks again to Danny for the heads up and also thanks to all the CM's that are working so hard. I give them A LOT of credit because I know they are SUPER BUSY today!

After another hour on hold (total 3 hours), 2 different calls.. I went ahead and booked a new ressie.

I'll have to call back, transfer existing ADRs linked and get reward dollars refund, reapply rewards dollars...

But hey, I now have FD! And I went ahead and added another day!

YaY!!!! Had to call back about 10 times because of operators being busy but once I got through I had no wait time, the CM couldn't believe it he said there had been lots of people who were 1-2 hours on hold, dropped calls and everything this morning I just got super lucky.So now we are booked Nov 1st-11th at POP with DDP,we get to do the halloween party AND the xmas party on the same trip whoo hoo!!! Thank You again so much Danny25!!! We were booked in 3 weeks but my daughter is having medical problems and our doc advised me to cancel the trip,if I hadn't seen your post thats what I would have done and would have been horribly depressed now we ended up with a better vacation than we started with!

When we've made ressies or modifcations, we typically don't see the email for at least a few hours (and sometimes 8 to 12). I wonder if it's a batch email system and they just all go out at once.....

Just finished adding the Dining Plan to my December reservation at WL. Upgraded to the DDP. 1 hr and 10 minute wait, but worth it.

Thank you again Danny!!! you are my Son's HERO...even though he doesn't know it yet! what we were able to save with FD we were able to add NE-WPAM for his birthday trip in June!

On the phone for a total of 2 hours and 45 mins. The CM was VERY nice. he said our dates were black out, but for some reason they were registering in the system and kept checking as to not get out hope up too far only to be crushed when they wouldn't go through. IMHO, I don't think WDW really knows what they are doing this time around with ressies...and to jsut go ahead and add all of 2012 at one time??? Nice for planning...nightmare for the CMs. The CM said that a lot of sites had incorrect info and only the WDW site had the correct info. Well, at the time I had spoken to him I couldn't find ANY NEW FD info...HMMM Oh well, chalking this one up to pixiedust and a WHOLE LOT of help for DIS friends...but I'll feel better when I get that confirmation email

After holding for over an hour this morning beginning at 7:10 CST and not getting a human. I called back and held for 25 mins - still no human. So I went only and booked what I wanted: ASMo, 5 day PH and DP for a saving of $730.00. Woo Hoo. Now to cancel my original package. I think I'll wait until tomorrow to cancel it. Probably won't get through today.

Just wanted to say thank you to Danny for the heads up...was able to get my ducks in a row...
Anyway...after holding on for about 30 minutes this morning I was able to add free dining to my existing reservation 11/18 - 11/25 at WL CL. After hanging up and then doing some internet surfing I saw they released AP rates!!! Ugghhh back on the phone. On hold for over an hour...but I dropped the free dining and switched to 40% deluxe hotel, dropped the CL, changed to Poly and added regular dining plan. Still saved approx $1000 - and we are staying at Poly. Yes most of the savings is coming from not having CL but we are also at a more expensive deluxe hotel and I am still getting the dining plan, not free but... I wasn't able to compare apples to apples because WL CL wasn't available for the AP rate. Still I like the lower rate.

Not even the WDW site has the right info. Look http://bookwdw.reservations.disney....=Promo&promotionCode=fy12dine&market=fy12dine. The two boxes show "valid most nights from 10/2-10/6" but below the two boxes the text reads "valid most nights from 10/2-10/8".

I didn't get my email yet but when I go online and look at my ressie it already shows my credit of $292.80.

My call was answered by Cirque de Soleil for some weird reason, never got the auto attendant, then she got an agent on the phone for me, booking now!

similar to us, we got to a dining CM, who graciously transferred us to resorts. she said that happens when they overload.

Woohoo!!!!! I just modified my reservation to free dining and upgraded to a moderate and still saved over $900!!!! So now I am at Port Orleans!
