New free dining offer yeaaah

If Disney knows that this extremely long hold time is happening to tons of people, why didn't they put the offer on their website?? I don't get it. Some of the people on hold could just book online, but nope...
 
Someone posted dates that extended well into September 2012. Guess that was wrong. :sad2:
 

We booked 12/11-19. The CM at first told me that the 11th was blacked out, but then after a check she said no I had to check IN on the 11th. So those of you hoping to check in the first week of December, the 11th is the first day and the 10th is blacked out. So confusing. Now to sit and make dining reservations and answer questions here, if Disboards will wake up. Someone get it some coffee. :surfweb:

I agree!! A huge shot of expresso is needed for the boards. I felt like I was in limbo for a hour. On hold, no music & no Dissers to commiserate with!
Now, I'm still on hold ~ 1 hour 30 minutes ~ but at least I no longer feel alone! :surfweb:
 
Thank goodness the disboards are back up - I'd be going CRAZY right now if I didn't have info that at least people are getting through and are getting their dates. :banana: 1 hour 28 mins and holding....and holding....and holding...:rotfl:

Thanks to Danny25 for the heads up, Princess Tiffany for being a wonderful person answering all the questions multiple times, incognito shedding some light on the reasons why things are the way they are, and all the other people out there answering questions and sharing experiences for me to lurk on here and find info!

I got free dining after only 55 minutes on hold! I do have one question though...

I had to change my check in date by one day. Originally I was checking in on Dec 10th - 16th so it doesn't start till the 11th so I changed it to the 11th-16th. I figure I will look into booking a room only on the 10th but would get off the phone and let someone else get off of hold today! I asked my CM to still give me 7 day park tickets so I could pick them up on the 10th. She told me I couldn't pick them up early. I told her I was sure that I could. She said "let me check" put me on hold. Came back and said she checked and I "definitely could NOT pick up tickets early or it would take them off of my package and cancel my free dining when I checked in on the 11th for my package". I told her to do it anyways and I would take my chances. I mean... I have seen so many people on here talk about doing this very same thing. I am not REALLY taking a chance am I?:confused3
 
Got ours done. We had no hold music and were connected so no worries.

Oct 5 - 10 at Pop Century.

We have never stayed there but my son wants to stay there so we're giving it a shot. ;) Im going to miss my AKL but Ill be in Disney so its all good.
 
I'm a TA and I've been on hold for 60 mins too. I call the "Earmarked Agent" line and sounds like the same experience. I've had periods of no music and then it starts at the beginning again introducing "Memories" promotion. The TA website hasn't changed and no official notices in my inbox either. But something MUST be happening b/c I've never had to wait this long!!!

Same goes here...no notices, nothing on website...still on hold...
 
Oct.23-29 appears to be in the black-out period - so no luck for us. I chatting with someone at Disney
 
Was on hold for total of 68 minutes however did get thru. Had a great representative and was able to apply discount with no issue. Staying at POR 11-27 thru 12-3 with free dining. Even with having a previous promo code on my reservation the free dining still saved us over $300.00

For those still on hold she did say there are over 300 calls on hold.

After an hour and 5min finally spoke to a CM who has to transfer me to the Special Request Department to modify my ressie. UGGH
He was very nice though and said right now there are over 500 calls still in queue to be answered
 
There is still nothing and no updates on their website yet! I need to book online, all of my kiddos are up and there's no way I can call right now....when will they put it up on their site????
 
did anyone else use the other # posted in an earlier post? the 407-934-7639? I'm just curious...i pushed send on my phone at 6:59:58, the message came on and instead i just said "customer service" it got me to an agent which stayed on the line with me while she transferred me to another agent...never on hold! Good luck everyone!:banana:
