New free dining offer yeaaah

I have read this entire thread and am now heading to bed, I wonder how many more pages I will wake up to! I love reading about everyone's anticipation, I think this will make our trips more memorable! I always say the best part about a vacation is the plannnig process!

I would count on it being a 2 day base ticket requirement, that's how it's been since last year. You can use the tickets later to upgrade to APs. See post #666 for more detailed info.

I saw the post and read it but it didn't answer my question...if I don't use the 2 day base ticket can I save the tickets and use them another time? For example, next summer...not to apply to an AP renewal but to just use in the park for a short trip. I am assuming the 14 day expiration wouldn't apply if I never used the tickets...

What happens if Disney Visa does allow early release and we already have a package booked, not using our DV. Can we still use early release and just make a payment or something or do we have to cancel our first reservation and start over with a fresh downpayment using our DV?

Yes...the 14 day "clock" starts whenever the ticket is first used. You could also upgrade next trip to more days, options, etc.

Is Disney definitely going with the 2 day base ticket in order to qualify for the package or is there a chance that a 1 day ticket is all you will need?
If I don't use the tickets due to my AP's can I just hold on to them until next summer, maybe?
Crunching the numbers and added a few more dining reservations in anticipation!
Debbie

Yes will be needed to purchase 2 days tickets to qualify, and yes you could save them to the next year :goodvibes

Yes, you can. I'm doing the same thing except I plan to pick them up early from Guest Services to get them in paper form so they aren't attached to my KTTW card.

I totally agree...I start with the great deal...then it's on to what parks on what days...new attractions to check out...are there any rehabs going on...what will the weather be...total vacation-is-over crash when we get home. But I love it!

Sorry, thought you were asking about APs. Yes, you can use the tickets later as long as they are never activated.

Yes, you will still be able to add the FD DV code if one is released Wednesday, you will just have to put down another $200.00 deposit with the DV.

it may have been answered before, but we are booked into SSR (as DVC members) for Nov 27 to Dec 11 - would we get free dining plan for some / all of our stay ?

Nope - DVC doesn't get free dining. You already paid Disney a long time ago, why would they give you a deal now? (Sorry if that sounds harsh, but that's Disney's attitude towards DVCers in my opinion.)

I asked this yesterday but no one replied :( ....

Have ASMu family suites been included in recent FD offers?

Anyone?

Thanks!

I believe if you are booked thru CRO(cash reservation) and not on points either rented or your own you do qualify if SSR has room available when the promo comes out .

They may or may not be included due to availability but yes in the past they have been included as are the Garden Suites at BW. As far as I know these are the only two catagory of suites that are included in any promotions.

I already have a package booked, as does the rest of my family. I am the only DV cardholder. If this is offered for DV holders, would I also be able to apply this promo to my family's reservations (we have 4 total) if I put a additional $200 deposit down on each with my DV even though they are not cardholders?

Yes, but you're going to get the QSDP even though you're paying more for your room. It's a value resort, so it's QS.

Does anyone know if there is currently a free dining that would fall in the dates of September 27-October 4? I already have our free dining but I keep checking for a family who is going w/o FD.

There's no discount as of yet for those dates and there may not be one. I remember some people were talking about how frustrating it was that the end of September was blocked out. There IS a room discount GP offer going on right now if they're staying at a value resort. Here's the link.
