New free dining offer yeaaah

Thanks for the response, SarahD! When you say package, is room plus tickets considered a package or do you have to have room plus tickets plus dining?

Sorry again if these are stupid questions. I'm just trying to figure out what to do.

hi, a package is room plus tickets at least if you have that reserved you can add this code and if your check in is betwen the time frame you will get the dining plan for free for all of your reservation for 14 days max. :goodvibes

In order to qualify, your check in date for the free dining package must be a valid date. In your case, you would have to check in on Dec 11th in order to get it because Dec 10th is blacked out (well, at least per this rumor it is).

If it ends up being accurate, what you can do is book Dec 10th for a room only reservation and then check out/in again on the 11th with your package. You can have the rooms linked and should not have to change rooms (though it is possible). You can also pick up your tickets the day early. You would not have the dining plan for the night of the 10th, but may be worth it!

Thanks so much!

Thanks, Danny! So if I have a stay booked checking in on October 2 and staying through October 8 with six day tickets, all I would need to do is call and give them one of the codes you listed in the first post and they will add the free dining, right?

Ok, IF free dining is announced. I have a dilemma. We are booked 10-15 thru 10-22 with free qs dining @ pop. This is when our kids will be on fall break. But, I didn't know that there was sooo much going on around that time at disney. With the rumor of free dining being announced, we are debating on pushing it back a week. Can I call and just move my dates if they do announce it? Or do I have to cancel and rebook and pay all over again.
No, you do not have to cancel, you can move your dates without penalty and your reservation number will stay the same.

OK everyone, I have been keeping a close eye on this thread and I have a couple of questions. First a little back ground. We are booked at POFQ Nov. 10-19 with DDP. We do not want to change dates as our daughter princess:turns 7 on Nov. 11 and this is her birthday trip. We would like to apply free dining to our stay Nov 13-19 if possible. If I understand the previous posts correctly we could split our stay - room only Nov 10-13, pay OOP for meals and pick up our tickets which will be attached to our Nov 13-19 package on Nov 10.

So here are my questions: :confused3

1. Has anyone ever been successful in splitting a stay and remaining in the same resort?

2. Has anyone ever split a stay and been successful in remaining in the same room?

Thanks so much!

p.s. My husband and I both love/post on DIS and I need to be clear that this is my post and not his, I would never want to ruin his image by putting in all the lovey smiles in the post.

Yes, we have done a split stay at the same resort (not POFQ but that should not matter). Disney called that a "continuing reservation" for us and we were able to stay in the same room for both parts. It is no guarantee but it worked for us. Disney will do the best they can to help you out.

That would be GREAT because I think Southwest has a sale on through the 1st - although I haven't checked it out myself yet. Sometimes those sales aren't too great to Orlando airport. Now if I could have combined their 40th anniversary sale with this free dining offer...that would have been an incredible dedal!

Thats what we got! Yay! $80 r/t pp! I think ours is Airtran though...they dropped their prices at the same time!

Just called and got FD eligible from May-December with no blackout dates for November11-22!!!!! I just asked the CM if there was anything with our name, and she checked for a minute or 2,"seemed like forever",and said yes there is-Free Quick Service for the dates we wanted!!!!:woohoo::woohoo: I did'nt even ask any questions, just politely booked 11 nights at POP,and upgraded to Basic Dining Plan before she changed her mind!!!:scared1::scared1::scared1: Anyhoo,we are ecstatic, and ludicrous!!!;) Glad we don't have to wait until the Disney Visa or GP offer comes out! If I were reading this,I'd be calling right now.OP's post made me call,I figured I had nothing to lose, and inadvertantly hit the FD jackpot! Good Luck Everybody!!!!:cloud9:

I'm a Disney Visa card holder, but was curious how will I know if this deal if this new free dining deal is available on Monday? I am chomping at the bit to book our next vacation but dont yet want to until I hear anymore further details!

I already have our rooms and tix booked with a Magic Your Way pkg, but no dining plan. If the FD offer comes out, will I be able to apply it even though I DON'T currently have a dining plan? Should I add one on beforehand?

ETA: Duh, think I just found the answer on this page. Should have kept reading :)

My mom received a pin back in March, so we went ahead and booked out trip to get 30% off our room. We are booked Nov. 13-19, 6 day base tickets and DDP. We have two different reservations (one for my parents and one for my family) and they are linked together. So if FD does come out it will be the better deal and we will want to change it if we can. I have a few questions on how to change it.
1. If I call, will I be able to switch over my existing reservation or will I have to complety cancel it and rebook a new one?
2. If I can switch mine over, would I be able to switch my parents too (I have their confirmation number)? I want to make sure they are still linked together.
3. If have to rebook a new reservation, can I book two seperate reservations, one for my family and one for my parents. Or book one reservation with 2 rooms. We would like to get rooms close to one another.
4. I have already paid off my trip, if I cancel and rebook will they transfer the money over to the new reservation or will they refund it back to my cc?
5. If refunded, how long does it take?
6. Would it be easier to just book new packages online and then call and cancel the other?
7. If you book online can you link reservations together, or book more than one room?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just confused on how to change our reservations so we can get FD.

I called to move our rooms and dates, but the call was lost at 10 after 10. Does Disney automatically kick you off the phone after they close?

Susan

Daizieduck, I called and asked that question yesterday. The CM told me they could apply my insurance to the reservation. She said as long as I didn't cancel all together I wouldn't lose it. The only thing I didn't ask and I guess should have is..... since it will now be two seperate reservations I assume it will only cover one.

I think you can change anything you wish without penalty as long as you are more than 45 days from check-in. Insurance will stay with whatever you change to.

Thanks for the info! :thumbsup2

You can apply it the day the discount is offered.

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just confused on how to change our reservations so we can get FD.

1. Just call and have them add the FD code to your existing reservations and your parents reservation. You do not have to rebook anything and your reservation number will stay the same.

2. Nothing will change with your parents and your reservation being linked by changing your discount code.

3. No rebooking necessary.

4. Again, no rebooking, they will just credit you the monetary difference between your current discount and the FD discount.

5. It takes 2 billing cycles, so about 2 months to receive a refund.

6. No, it is not easier to rebook and would actually be much more time and work.

I don't know if your call was accidently disconnected or what, but the reson for not having your call answered wouldn't have been because of the time. I used to work at the DRC and as long as the call came in before 10 it stayed in the queue (and the caller on hold). The end of the shift was when all the calls in queue were answered, which was always later than 10 pm.

This may be an odd question.
I already have a room only already for 12/10 and MYW w/ QS from 12/11-12/18. I booked with a 30% Pin and figure I'll save a little over $250 when FD comes out Wed. (if this is correct)
Instead of a refund can I use my credit to buy MVMCP tickets? We have been on the fence about the party this year, but we may go ahead now since FD is offered.
If not, I paid w/ gift cards and debit card, will they credit my dc or send me a check?
Thanks!
Oh and PrincessTiffany can you PM your site?
I've read this whole thread and you rock!

Sorry, but I don't believe that they can transfer your credit towards MVMCP tickets, but it can't hurt to ask :-) I wouldn't count on it though. If you paid with a debit card, they will credit back your card or you can request a check. It typically takes 2 billings cycles to receive your refund, so approximately 2 months. Some have reported that they have received a refund sooner, but it usually takes that long.

And I will be glad to PM you my site. Thanks!

My brain is spinning trying to absorb all of this valuable information! I have some of those "what would you do" questions for all of you experts.

We have a package booked at POP Dec 2-9,standard dining plan, on a 30% off PIN. Our plan was to transfer to a Loews Hotel for the night of the 9th to take advantage of early entry and front of the line access on 9th and 10th at Universal & IOA. Then we are booked on another room only 30% off for the night of the 10th- 16th back at POP (we have 3 families/10 people- 8A, 2J and 2C ...and two seperate PIN codes). We are going to the beach, Kennedy SC, Seaworld, etc. those last few days. We just thought that the $67 per night rate at Pop was awesome and then we could still utilize Disney Transportation, go to Downtown Disney and use Magical Express for the airport both ways.

Soooo, now if Free Dining is offered, should we rebook the two seperate reservations so that both will include free dining? On my second reservation how many days of tickets would I have to add?

Or, make the entire trip Dec 2-16 all on one reservation to get the FD? I guess we could just pay for a room at POP the night of the 9th and not have to worry about packing everything up and moving it (just take an overnight bag to Universal).

We are foodies so either way we definately would want to pay the upgrade from QS to standard plan. I mean we have to eat somewhere those extra 5-6 days anyway- so why not explore some more Disney dining establishments.:thumbsup2

I can't get my mind to wrap around what the cost would be of changing to a standard room rate, paying for an extra night or extra tickets and the cost of upgrading from QS to regular dining compared to what we would be saving with FD.

Any help or advice is much appreciated!

I forgot to add that we booked through AAA. I know you can't double dip on discounts, but if we change the code will any AAA discounts apply?

Ok we have ressies oct 1 to 8 with dining...
Do we have to change our plans to the 2nd thru 8th?
Also there are 7 different cajoles all together, will our travel agent make all the changes?
How bout our dining reservations, how hard will it b to get in to anything? Will we loose all our previously made dining ressies?

Sorry I'm full of so many questions . I'm a newbie:confused3
