I am a new Florida resident and am considering buying Florida resident APs as we already have trips scheduled in May and September. I noticed Disney allows them to be purchased on a payment plan. If you purchase them using that payment plan, do they expire one year from purchase or one year from the first time you use it? Is there anything else you think I should know?
I tried to find this answer and have been unsuccessful so I apologize if it has been answered before and i couldn't find it.
Thanks for your help.

We have the payment plan.

To my knowledge they expire from date of activation which you do in person at a ticket window (even though you may have purchased it ahead of time).

We only night them a few days early, but our expiration date is based on when we activated and not when we purchased and set up the payment plan.

That's right. It's from the time you activate them at the park. We have the same pass and we went last month for the first time. Our passes are good until March 2016.

Correct.

So, if you activate a new AP on, say, July 1, 2015, that AP will be valid all the way through close of business on July 1, 2016.

We recently bought our FL APs and we bought them online and they didn't "start" until the first day we used them.
