A friend of mine read an article stating this October a new fireworks show would be coming to Magic Kingdom. If this is true is it only for the celebration of the 50th. Please tell me we are not losing Happily Ever After already.

It’s exactly why we booked an impromptu trip the day they announced HEA was coming back. I have no proof, but I don’t think we’ll see HEA come back in 18 months. So just in case, I have to see it one more time.

How long was HEA running for before the covid closure?

Yeah well I have to see Wishes one more time! 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

I'm not sure. HEA is a bit outdated (the most recent movie shown is Moana from 2016) and it sounds like the 50th anniversary show is very elaborate and has a much higher Wow factor.

I wouldn't be surprised if HEA is retired, or at least the current version of it. They might update it before bringing it back in 2023 and combine it with the 50th anniversary show.

I'm expecting it won't come back and Disney isn't much on updating firework shows- not sure they ever have. Regardless, it's a chance I don't want to take so we'll be there at the end of the month to catch them one last time.

That's a good plan. My guess is that they'll just keep the 50th Anniversary show going and not bring back HEA in 2023, especially if they get a major positive response to the new show.

Please, if they update it CHANGE TO THE MOVIE VERSION OF "GO THE DISTANCE"! And stop using "That's What Friends Are For" as a friendship song, because it really really isn't,
