I can't believe that I would now after 24 visits have a new favorite resort! We stayed at the Beach Club and I feel in love with it. I stayed at Cont on my second visit and loved it but when we stayed at Poly a few years later it was my favorite hands down. I tried a few other resorts and I liked them all but the Poly was my dream stay. But we picked the Beach Club this year because the discount being offered was better than Poly or Cont.

Things I loved about the Beach Club: :beach:

The rooms are well lite, didn't think it ever bothered me before but I noticed.

The pool....lets just say while at the parks I would say "what do ya'll want to do now" and DH, DD21, and her BF would all say the pool.

Cape May...YUM.

Beaches and Cream was such a nice surprise when we got there, our plane landed at 12:30 so we were hungry and we wanted to eat at resort rather than pay prices at airport.

The walk to Epcot. I was never a big Epcot fan like DH but I loved entering from the back and so did DD. (Also the night we drunk our way around the world it made it a lot easier to make it home)

Our room was 1st floor and the ducks came to visit me there too and the lizards.

Also every morning as I sat on the patio waiting for the others to get ready I was just like I want to go lay on the beach or I want to go swing in the swing or let me just sit on the back porch area and rock in the rocking chair and people watch.

The only bad thing I can say about the Beach Club is that it makes you want to stay at the resort more and spend less time at the parks. :rotfl2:

I agree with all of your pros about the BC (except I love Epcot). I have never stayed at Poly and feel that it is my dream, but since getting DVC last year I will probably never get to stay there. However, BC is amazing! There is a lot to do there, great CM's, great restaurants, a fantastic pool, and the walk to/from Epcot is superb (especially after fireworks let out and the mob is going to the front of the park:thumbsup2).

I am staying there in about 10 weeks and I can't wait!!!

Thanks for getting my spirits up knowing it will be worth the wait!

Totally agree. We discovered BC when our kids were age 1 and we have never found a resort we like better.

We fell in love too, and can't stay anywhere else!!!!!!
One thing you forgot: the smell of the lobby:love:

so far BC is my favorite too but we're staying at the Contemporary (tower) in July and I'm looking forward to it. Not sure anything else will compare with the BC for us though!!

LOVE the BC! So pretty and airy, and I like riding the boats to DHS - but my favorite part is the lovely stroll to Epcot! It is so nice, at the end of the day, to have the short walk home instead of waiting for transportation.

Thank you so much for posting! We haven't stayed deluxe yet but are looking forward to it! And I love reading responses like this. By the way, once my kids are your kids ages I totally think BC or Epcot resorts will be our favorite too!

Check out Tikimans website. Rumor has it DVC will be coming to the Poly.

This is so true! I'm planning very little park time while we stay 3 nights at BCV. It makes me feel like 8 total nights at WDW isn't enough! :rotfl2:

I'm like you Poly was my favorite. I still love the resort, but BC is taking over as my favorite. It has a lot to do with my children getting older and BC being a better choice for us. As far as Cl level goes Poly is so much it's not even a competition. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. We did a split between Poly and Yc on our last trip. I highly recommend it. It really gives you the best of both worlds.

My wife and I discovered the BC as we were booking our honeymoon last year. We were planning on staying at POR for four days before moving over to the Swan on Starwood points. When I told her that I got a good deal at the BC, she couldn't have been happier. We love it so much we bought DVC there!

You just made me so excited for our August trip! We are staying at the Beach Club for the first time, and of course I am excited, but all those good things you said make me feel like we are going to have an amazing time staying there. Thanks :goodvibes

My Husband and I stayed @ BCV for the first time in 2009, and totally loved it. We are going back with our Daughter in Oct. 2013 and can not wait!

I would really like to try the Beach Club but I have to admit that the #1 reason I go to WDW is MK and nothing beats jumping on the monorail for a quick trip to MK. DS18 and I must have gone 7 or 8 times last trip. It is especially convenient for a quick trip while DW and DS16 are relaxing around the pool.

Because of this I am having so much trouble giving up the Poly.

Liking this thread lol. We went to BC our first trip and can't seem to give it up!!

Epcot being a walk away is wonderful, it is our favorite park and having it so close is lovely! The boat ride to Mgm is fun too.

The beauty of the landscape and the hotel is gorgeous. I think while being kid friendly, there is alot that works for older crowds (although I think everyone can agree that SAB is awesome) crews cup at YC and boardwalk being so close by.

The rooms are airy and big, and I have never had service problems at all.

Food options are great. While there isn't too much CS, that really isn't a problem for how we eat so it works. But Beaches and Cream is yummy, Cape May is super good.

I know so many feel spoiled by having the monorail, but I always feel even more spoiled getting a SHORT gorgeous stroll back to the hotel while everyone heads back to transportation with the mob.

In short, I love BC! haha

Yea - we will be there for our first stay in August and can't wait. It will be me and my grandaughter for a little pre-school get away.

Long time Poly family (four stays there) who are returning to the BC for the first time in 13 years. A bit apprehensive as we really enjoy the Poly layout and locale, but we're excited to do the BC after all these years. Our kids were seven and five when we were last there . . . they'll be 20 and 18 when we arrive in late July. Oh, and we'll be joined by their nearly 13 year old sister, who experienced our last BC trip from inside her mother.

Like anything, it's what you make of it, and the hotel and all its amenities are great. And it's Disney World. Very much looking forward to our visit and great new BC experiences.
