It's not wrong to say that someone cut in line with the trick that they don't speak english because this happens, but i do think it's rude to say that cutting in line it's a sport for us.

And maybe people that don't speak english do spend a lot of money on a Disney vacation because you can go to Guest Relations and obtain a Personal Translator Unit. IF they have an emergency they can go to a CM that speaks their language or maybe they do the same as people visiting 5 stars hotels in the Dominican Republic or Mexico (spanish speaking countries) when they don't speak spanish.

I'm spanish too and I wait in line like everyone else. I also see spanish people wait in line. Sometimes I see "XYZ nationality person" cut the line and sometimes I see "ABC Nationality person" elbow you in the back and then cut you in the line. I see large groups of teens do it. But it might be extremely rude and other people might say it is their nationality or society. Bottom line it is just people getting caught up in the excitement of WDW. It might just be these peoples dream to take a vacation and create all these stories on how they CON-ed people out of getting through the line quicker.

Jennyvelaz puts it well "their Karma will come." Maybe a Flat tire on the way back home. Speeding tickets.... you name it. :stir: It is not worth it to be in such a rush.

I'm pretty confident you would think different of this if you actually had a baby. I guess for those with babies, we'll just continue to have to sit on the benches and watch the fun like a tv show. Or maybe they should just stay home?
A little defensive there, huh?
It's called a 'Baby Swap' pass. Doesn't that mean there should be a 'baby' involved? By your logic, I should be able to get a baby swap pass even though I don't have kids. So you think that the CM should just hand out baby swap passes to anyone? And where in my post did I mention sitting on benches or even staying home? I just think it's good for the CM's to actually see the baby that they are giving baby swap passes for.

BTW, what is the POINT then, of being issues the "Fast Pass Keycard" for the day, if you are not allowed to use it, for the day?

First of all there is no fast pass keycard for the day - if there is please provide more information.

As far as baby swap it is done on an attraction by attraction basis, you need one for each attraction you want to swap at. Its purpose is so that a family with a baby or toddler who dosen't meet the height restriction can enjoy the attraction with only one wait not a double wait.

Having done WDW many times with babies and toddlers I feel that the CM's request to see the "baby" a very fair one. The only ride that is logisticly difficult is Soarin as no strollers are allowed in the land. Just plan to get the swap pass when baby is awake or use a snugli or sling. The second rider or the one who uses the swap pass can return anytime that day with up to two others (3 total) to ride the attraction.

FWIW, I have seen singles and couples ask for a child swap pass when it was obvious that there was no baby in that party. If this continues and the CM's find it more of a hassle than its worth we may see babyswap go away. Even though I no longer need it I think this would be very dissapointing for future families who could benefit from it.

Sometimes when someone's pass doesn't work in the machines they will be issued a special FP key card.

Gotcha, thanks, but I imagine the one at a time regular FP rules apply don't they? Also this special FP card has nothing to do with baby swap right?

Wrong. You put it in the machine like a regular ticket, it only lets you have one at a time. If it has nothing to do with baby swap, they why is that what they always gave us for it?

TJ, thanks for the explaination- here I thought I was intelligent enough to know how child swap worked, since I have a few, researched the topic, was vacationing with friends with babies, etc. Thanks for clearing it up for me.

"By your logic, I should be able to get a baby swap pass even though I don't have kids."
I must have REALLY taken my stupid pill this weekend to have said this. I should have known better.
Where did I say this?

If people don't like the way child swap works, start another campaign like the kids menus, mnnshp hours, and everything else, to get it removed.

"So you think that the CM should just hand out baby swap passes to anyone?"

Again, stop putting words into my mouth.

We had kids. We had babies. At the first ride they issued us the passes to use for baby/kid swap for the day. This happened for 7 days. Whats everyones problem with this??? If this proceedure was introduced to make things easier for people with small babies/kids, then waking up a sleeping baby to "produce said baby" is probably not worth it for many people.

You're right, I'm defensive. This board brings that out in....well...everyone. I've seen nastiness here in the last two months like I have never experienced before, on a messageboard. And about all things, Disney World??? :confused3 Silly, silly people.

Either way my vacation is over and done with, so rather than give my $.02 when questions are asked, I guess I'll just bow out and say goodbuy to DISers. Peace-out. :wave2:

We went the first week of October. Most of the time time DH held all our FP's and handed them in. No CM checked to see if 4 FP's were there. Only once at TT did they make an announcement saying it was easier if every rider had their own FP. This was made while we were waiting on the FP line. It would have been easy to cheat the system. I have to say we never saw any line cuttrs, thankfully.

Jen - I've never heard of the type of baby swap fast pass card you described. Perhaps you were part of a test? I've never done baby swap because I don't usually go with very young children, but it been discribed to me as a ride by ride thing where you speak to a CM and request baby swap at each ride. Your way sounds interesting. I wonder if it was a test and if they will be implementing it park wide soon??

I have also not heard of an all day Baby Swap pass. My DD is now tall enough for everything and we don't do Baby Swaps anymore. That clears things up a bit. People questioned why your friend was so upset that he had to produce a baby to get a Baby Swap FP when in fact he had to show the baby to use the Baby Swap FP. That is a huge difference. I would have been upset too.

The all day Baby Swap sounds like a great idea. Can both parents use the Baby Swap or does one still need to stand-by or use a FP? Also, does it still cover up to 3 people?

*Sigh* Does it always have to go this way? Bashing our Spanish speaking friends is not acceptable behavior on this board.
