New Express Transportation: $19/day or $29/week-SERVICE ENDING AUGUST 23RD 2017

That's what I was considering. This may sound silly but the weeks do not have to be calendar weeks right? S-Saturday (just a full seven days)

So, I was going to read through this and find out if my question was already answered or not - but then I saw how many replies. I'm just wondering if anyone can help me with an opinion question?

So, I've basically decided that I want to get the express transportation, but do you think it's worth paying for the full time or just doing one week? We will be at Disney for 10 days - and I was considering doing it for two weeks completely and just missing out on the difference... but I don't know if it would be better to not do it, or only purchase the extra days separately? Idk anyone who has an opinion and could give me some guidance that would be great!

Sorry if I rambled or didn't make sense, lol.

We will be at WDW Nov 21 to Dec 4. I have arranged our schedule to not hop with the Express bus for the first six days. The first day we don't arrive until around 4 pm and after flying from the west coast, getting to just ONE park may be a struggle.

The next two days we will spend in one park each day followed by two resort days, one at AKL, then WL as we are doing a triple split stay. That leaves Sunday the 25th. We have an ADR for brunch at California Grill, followed by a few hours in MK, then a monorail crawl, and a return to Cali to watch the fireworks.

We will purchase the Express Bus pass on Monday and use it through Sunday and fly home the following Monday, leaving around 1pm so we probably won't even hit a park that day.

If you decide to buy just one seven day pass, the days you don't have the pass you could start out at one park in the morning, return to your resort for a break or schedule lunch at another resort, then take the regular business to a second park.

Bumping this up because you all ought to know. Express Transportation is ending. The last day the 7 day will be sold will be the 16th of August. The service will end on the 23rd of August to honor the 7 days being bought on the 16th. 1 days will continue to be sold up until the last day.

That is terrible news. I wonder if they were just waiting for the Minnie Vans to start rolling to end Express.
The service never was properly promoted.

That figures. I booked EMM in MK on the 27th and the only way I was going to make my FOP FPs in AK was express transportation. Ugh. But thanks for the heads up.

I hope that's not a definite thing. It's my favorite add-on and really a parkhopping game changer. I hopped probably twice as much the trips I had it than I did before. And always made sure to tell the CMs working how much I loved the service and how great it was. I was really hoping to use it again in December.

If this is true, they've saved me money for my trip next month. The convenience of the express service made upgrading to park hopper more attractive. All good things must come to an end though, I suppose.

It's too bad that there was not more notice given, as there are many guests arriving over the next month or two who made plans (and we all know how most guests make their FP selections and ADRs as soon as they are allowed), based on using the Express service. It seems to be Disney's M.O., lately, to not give much notice when shutting down an attraction or service.

Has the Express been such a terrible loser that they could not keep it running through the end of the year and peak holiday periods, when demand would be higher?

From some of his older posts, it sounded like he was (at least at one time) a CM who worked in transportation. That's why I believed it with no source. I guess we will see. Given the very common reports that busses only had 4-6 people on them, I can see this going away (sadly).

Can someone post (for the zillionth time, I'm sure) the best Disney contact info to use for an email like this? We have 3 upcoming trips and were planning to use it for all 3 trips! We LOVE Express Transportation!

We are new to this express transportation - Do you have to get it for everyone on your reservation? My husband was thinking about getting it just for him and my older kids for the week?

I had checked that, too, after the post. Nor could I find anything posted on other sites mentioning this. Although that might not be unusual since the express service isn't widely known/used, it's still odd that no one else has reported this. We'll know in few days for sure. Fingers crossed.
