Squire! Waving hello! It has been awhile since I've stayed at the Swan.. so no help there! We are more frequently at the Dolphin. Usually, the crib goes over towards the window in the corner. I am really going to miss those heavenly cribs... we have DD4 who still needs a crib but has outgrown all but the full sized ones. The heavenly cribs are a 3/4 size crib... for infants and small toddlers. I don't know what I am going to do on our next trip...Bump one of the older kids to a rollaway maybe!

:wave2: and many thanks for the quick response.

I didn't realize that the Heavenly Crib was smaller! I just felt guilty about having my own Heavenly bed so made the request for my DD. She's just turning 2 but is a pretty big girl. Do you think the Heavenly crib will still be ok or should I change my request to a regular crib??

Squire, I don't think they have regular sized cribs (I've never seen one there)... but the heavenly crib should be fine for a 2 year old. I know I have thought about having one of the local children's equipment supply business' deliver a crib. That is probably what I will do in the future. Enjoy your stay... it is a beautiful resort!

Hello all,
I stayed at the Swan last March with my teacher rate and LOVED it! I have a reservation at POR for this March (first week of the month) but am crossing my fingers the teacher rates become available soon. Does anyone know when this might happen? I feel kind of silly calling them every other day

TEACHER RATES :teacher: CALL NOW FOR 2006 !

I called 9-15-05
Was able to get resort balcony view for $210 per night for
June 28 -> July 8th, 2006

Darn! I just called for my March dates and there is no teacher rate available yet for that time!!? How did you manage to get the teacher rate in June then?

Can someone post me the direct # to call so I can ask for the AP discount. I cant find anything but the 800 # Shelly

Can you pre-pay your stay at S/D like you can at Disney resorts? If you stay on club level, will/can concierge book different character meals at other locations? Do you get pre-trip concierge planning similar to what the deluxe Disney resorts have? If you book an executive suite and are a Starwoods member, do you get an upgrade (if the room is avalible)?

I have never had this service as a Club Level guest.

I am still in the planning stages. At this point I am going to try and stay at AK, S/D and one of the MK resorts. Not sure if I need clb or concierge at any plce except AK, so I am still weighing the pros and cons. The most important thing is being really close to the pool, at least it is for my kids. Heck, the hotel could just toss a few mattresses into the middle of the pool and they'd be happy to sleep there! I on the other hand need space and a view.

I have always stayed Club level and concierge has always done everything for me. Have you ever called them while you were there?

I have never had pre-trip concierge planning from the S/D. Once I've checked in, I use the concierge if necessary....but I've never gotten the same pre-trip planning level of service that I got from the Polynesian.

I'm booked on the Club floor at the Swan next week, I've not had any sort of contact from the CL staff.

Madge-
I apologize, I misunderstood. Your right...pre-trip concierge service I have never had either but then I've never tried. I wonder if this service is available.
Have a great trip next week.

Marie at reservations is very helpful with any reservations or things that you need to have done. They are a very small reservations department, it's not the concierge, but they certianly will help you with all of your pre-planning that you want to do.

subscribing for easy access. Making very first Swan trip next month and can't tell you how excited we are. Want to read all the posts to try and find some great tips and hints.
