New England DISmeet March/April

Greetings DISers! Some of you may know me from the November 2006 New England DISmeet I helped organize at the Red Robin in Millbury, MA. We had a blast and I've heard through the grapevine (thanks Timeless!) that there is some interest in doing another New England DISmeet this Spring. So if you're interested, I wanna hear from you here! Post and let us know your location and dates availability so I can begin to figure out the best possible centrally located meeting spot. I welcome any ideas for meeting places or activities!

I'm looking forward to reconnecting with all of you DISers from the Nov. 06 meet, many of you were scheduled to go on trips to WDW in Nov., Dec. and Jan. and I want to hear all about them!

I am headed home to WDW on March 18, any other sun works for me. Also I think that the location that we had it in last time did a nice job holding the tables for us. If no one else has an issue, perhaps we can use the same place?

I myself havent been to WDW since Aug! ack!
but Im looking forward to my solo week in April (booked 3 EpCot tours), wk w/DS15 in Aug and week solo in Nov (to celebrate my 50th!)

Another MA DISer! Are you talking about an "adult only" meet or a family type one? The Southwick Zoo may be a good place for a meet.

What a good idea!!! I didn't get to stay and meet everyone last fall, so would love to have a second chance!!! Keep me in the loop.

Families of course! I would not exclude children. I like the zoo idea because I love zoos. A few questions:

1. Does the zoo have picnic grounds? (I was thinking we could have a potluck picnic, give us a chance to schmooze before going our separate ways to enjoy the zoo)

2. Are they open in April?

3. Will it be warm enough?

There is a picnic area, but they don't open until April 14. Not sure how warm it will be then...could be chilly still.

Well, perhaps if we held the meet at the Southwick Zoo in late April/early May it would be warm enough for a picnic at the zoo. I think it would be cool to not only be able to have a meal and a chance to socialize but also have an activity option.

A park would be a good choice for something like this too. There is a really nice park near me that has beautiful picnic tables and grill setups (Look Park, Northampton) but that may be too far in western Mass. for some people to travel.

Any other ideas? Parks, zoos, restaurants?

Hi!
I was also at the meet at the Red Robin. I would be interested in a meet. A Saturday would be best for me, because then I would have my DH to help with the kids. (he works 7am-10pm on Sundays)
