First off, Thanks Stina for all the work and planning you are putting into this DIS Meet....

Just wanted to second this - thanks for all your hard work!!!

I think I'm going to have to remove my name from the list. The 5K doesn't start until late morning, so if I can go, I'll be showing up at some point in the early afternoon. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up with you, though!!!

I'm still planning to be there, probably with DS10 in tow. The more kids his age are coming, the likelier it is I can talk him into it.

We're not very good at potlucks I must admit! So, I'll volunteer to bring some (non-alcoholic) beverages, and given what strangely picky eaters DS and I both are, we might bring our own food too.

Well, just got the word (finally) that DD's soccer game is at 10:30 in Mansfield. I looked it up on mapquest and it says it's a 40 minute drive from there to Southwick's. I would really like her to go and meet some other kids, but that would put me at Southwicks about 11:45. Is everyone really going to be here at 11:00?? I hate to have her miss the meet if nobody is going to be there right at 11 anyway. I am thinking I would have her miss the last 15 minutes of the game and that would only make me a 1/2 hour late. If 11:00 it is, that's fine, but just thought I'd ask

Hoping I can get there with ds12 & dd8. We live in town and are members of the Zoo so discounts would not apply for us. Kids are also picky eaters so we will probably just grab something there.

We are hoping to be able to make it too! We usually have a Cinco De Mayo party at our house, but I don't think I am up to throwing it this year. AND, my husband signed up to be on the Cinco De Mayo party committee at his Knights of Columbus. So, I kind of have to see what that entales to know if I can make it. Sorry this is of no help as of yet. Just know that I am keeping up with the thread and I am still interested. Thanks!

I just found out that DS10 is going to a Heroscape Tournament that day. So, he won't be joining me, but I'm still planning to be at the meet.

I would think we should meet outside the gates. In order to purchase the family fun pack and get the discounted tickets we all have to enter at once.

I'm going to go back through this list, figure out who's attending and who's not and post some final information on meet time, food, tickets, etc.

I just PM'ed you Stina. Our family of 4 are attending, but may not be there by 12 noon... so just let us know where you are meeting inside and we can meet up with you, or we can give you our cell phone number and you can let us know, if you guys move or whatever.

I am THRILLED that this zoo is in Mendon and not Southwick!!! When I mapquested Southwick , it would have been 2 hours for us, and now it is 1hour and 14 minutes!!!! DD has a t-ball game 10-11, so we will be there as soon after that as we can.

Unfortunately my own DP can't even make it so she had to drop, and my cousin (you know who you are!) can't make it either and said she had to console herself by adding a few days to her upcoming WDW trip and buying MNSSHP tickets, huh, just like a DISer!

Anyhow here's the attendance list:

I will try to wear something obvious or lime green. I will definitely recognize some of you from the Nov. meet! Bring your own lunch OR plan to purchase concessions at the zoo.

I know its last minute, and that I was planning on going to the November meet but never was able to, but can you count me in as a "definite maybe" too? (I'll be the one with that guy on this list, the one who never leaves home without his camera )

Count me as a maybe. And I was just thinking of taking my youngest to Southwicks and I came across this thread. I thought I may have missed it. I'll have to mention this to my DH. Hopefully the weather is warm enough to walk around the zoo.

My oldest DD won't be able to make it. She has soccer game at noon and she wouldn't there until 1:30 or so.

And I wanted to clarify that when I say meet outside front gates, I mean meet at ticket booth area of zoo. I've never been there so I'm just trying to think of a general/visible meeting spot.
