New early morning breakfast at Boma and AKL animal enclosure tour, $250 a pop

I have never done any of the (pricey) tours, but from the title, I thought this sounded in line with Keys To The Kingdom or Wild Africa. Dining with a CM from Africa and getting a "tour" of Boma sounds cool, but the animal part sure didn't sound like anything very special. It would have to get hyped a lot more than that to sound worth it to me!

"Next up is a ride on a safari truck to head backstage for some close-up animal encounters, which may include giraffe, ostrich and okapi."

LOL. For $250, I'd better have "close encounters" with more animals than that.

And it doesn't even guarantee those..."may include". Lol. Might also include close encounters with turtles and squirrels.

The difference between this tour & having breakfast at Boma, then going to AK for the safari is...

...

...

... about $100 pp, even if paying for a single day ticket at AK?

That would interest me and maybe my daughter but at 250.00 a person, it's not on my agenda for now. Maybe for 150.00.

I've done the Wild Africa Trek twice and loved it though so who knows - maybe I'll change my mind at some point.

Guess I am the only one who would take this! I booked Wild Africa Trek and was thinking about swapping it out , lol

It seems this is just at the lodge unless I am misreading...it would seem you would have many.more animals and much better scenery at the park. But I have never been on the tour so I can't really say...but have seen the people with the harnesses on at the safari.

Seems way too pricey for what you get. We did do the Wild Africa Trek, and loved it, but this just doesn't seem like enough for the money.

Wanyama Safari is similar, cheaper, and includes wine. I think it's still only for guests of AKL/AKV though.

No I won't pay $500 for this :crazy2:. The most I would even consider is $125. With the extra $500 between the two us we can do so much more maybe a massage, Halloween party, fireworks cruise I mean seriously.

Wow! Disney sure is getting creative with all the new extra charge experiences. No, that is too much for me. The only way I did the Wild Africa Trek in September was with the $50 discount for going in the afternoon.
