new DVC'er with rental question

We just bought into DVC at BCV. When we rent points, after those points are transferred into our account are they considered BCV points or do they retain the original account's home? So, if I want to make a ressie with the 11 month window at BCV can I rent points from any home account or only with a BCV home account? Many thanks!

Transferred points are supposed to retain their original home resort status - so you will want to rent points from another BCV owner if you need the 11 month window.

That said, it has been reported that there is a "glitch" in the DVC computer system and that trasnferred points take on the home resort of the account they end up in. However, DVC is aware of the "glitch" and has said they will be correcting it. Since we don't know when that will happen, my advice is not to gamble - find a BCV owner to rent from.
