New DVC Owner!!! We finally did it!

Hello everyone. This is my first post. I have read the DIS boards for a few years but never joined until recently.

My family and I decided to take the plunge and join the DVC. We are very exited. We bought at BLT.

We had already planned a trip to stay at WL beginning on Feb 6. We decided to join and just roll the $$ we paid for our room at WL into out DVC membership - and also upgrade to a 1-BR villa at WL for the same week!

Anyhow, just wanted to introduce myself. We are very excited to be part of the DVC family.

Also - where does everyone get those nifty little sigtags notating their home DVC resorts? Or maybe it is just the resorts that they like?

Just curious... Any reason why you decided to stick with your original OOP reservation and not jump right into the DVC properties?

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the well wishes.

Although we are BLT owners, we are actually staying at VWL for our first trip, which is next week!

That said, since we are new owners (bought today), and could not have gotten into BLT at this late notice even if we wanted to, I was thinking about asking our guide if she could call over to BLT and see if they would let my family and I into the Top of the World Lounge one day just so we can have a taste of what is to come. Do you think that would even be possible?

I thought that you needed to a DVC owner staying at BLT to get in, correct? To that end, I assume that means that BLT owners not staying at BLT nor non-DVC owners staying at BLT cannot access the lounge. Is this correct?

Also, where can I get the DVC sigtags that I see on so many members signatures?
