We just recently purchased at SSR. We bought in for 200 points. We were able to get our points credited to us every December. We got 200 pts for Dec 2007 and will get another 200 in Dec 2008. We also got to use my wife's nephew cast member discount of 25%. That was huge! We did finance it for 10 years. We also got a $500 Visa Cash Card, a $10 credit per point and a very expensive hand bag...LOL!! I know this thread is a little biased, but what do you think about the purchase. I'm still feeling a little uneasy and need reassurance we did the right thing. What are some hidden perks that I get for being in the club? Can I still get the dining plan? Thanks!!

Welcome Home! The 25% CM discount is great.

Yes, DVC members can purchase the DDP.

DVC Members get $100 off the price of an annual pass, as well as free Valet Parking.

I am surprised you were able to get the cast member discount and the $500 VISA card...I was told that when we buy our next points in June that the cast member discount removes that promotion. We still get the $10/point ($8 at AK), but the $500 VISA card goes away because of the Cast Member discount...

I'll have to ask again to make sure...that would be great if I could get that as well..
