New DVC Member Cards coming next month.

I don't know how they'd classify our # of members. We have 4 split between two households/addresses. 2 in MN and 2 in NC. If that's 4 to them we may not have the cards until after our membership expires. :)
 
DH got his at least a week ago. We didn't realize what it was because it was a big silver mailer with info about the 25th anniversary on it.

We got our cards in a large mailing, one packet for me and a separate for my spouse. I thought it was a big waste of money the way they mailed them. The cards are nothing special and do not even have the scan bar on the back. What a waste of money, I know they wanted to put an expiration date on them but then they should make them like credit cards and let them be scanned or run through machines

What do they need to be scanned for?

Original post showed "new Membership Cards Next Month" - posted December 15th. That would say new cards in JANUARY.

Today is January 27th. Starting February 1, I (at least) will be CALLING to ask what the new plan is, as the OLD plan obviously FAILED.

Our dues are paid, and I want our cards. GIVE me these, or I will consider challenging the Dues Payment. Fortunately, these were done via CC - and Federal Laws protect us in situations like this.

I don't feel unreasonable in this - OUR DUES ARE PAID - WHERE ARE OUR CARDS? The second you nail us due to an internal company issue is the day I consider a CC challenge. JUST DO YOUR JOB, or consider saying "within the next four months", and HONOR everything legacy until you can get your act together. "ECARDS" that die in March are worthless - GO TO YOUR SHIPPING VENDOR AND INQUIRE AS TO WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. DO YOUR JOB.

Yes, I'm probably being a bit of a hardnose on this one..... but I never got a "vote" for new cards, my dues are PAID, and I don't want to screw around anymore. SHIP these, or can the whole thing until next year, if it takes you that long to PERFORM. When I show up in April 2016? I want my PAID MEMBERSHIP honored.

Disney - Amazon can deal with gift cards within 48 hours. WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM?

EDIT: having grown tired of this, I CALLED DVC Member Services tonight (1-27-2016, 19:00 EST) - and i finally got the truth.....

The DVC card vendor has screwed up. The NEW "Red Line" date for New DVC Membership Card RECEIPT is now the end of FEBRUARY, 2016.

NOT a complaint - rather, I asked Member Services to POST THIS, in order to avoid the thousands of phone calls that they were likely to get. ONE simple post on an official Web Site = 10,000 calls that the poor agents do not have to answer.


MUST repeat this, as many folks appear to be getting nervous....

You COULD call. But it's not likely to help anything. Please, consider CALLING on March 1, 2016.
 
Currently those with 2 cards are shipping in the same envelope. There are many reasons why people are receiving cards in separate packaging. (Data Error, Different Last names, different member numbers, different mailing address)

Hmmm....we have 2 cards and they arrived in 2 separate envelopes on the same day. We only have one contract, same last name, address and membership number. We get all our mail like this and as we're in the UK I always think its a big waste of money.

Can't DVC get anything right? The website doesn't work all the time, they lose reservations (they did mine), and now the vendor screwed up? If this were my business model, people would be fired.
 
As an FYI, friend of mine that works for DVC said that starting tomorrow the sales centers on WDW property will no longer print out the plastic replacement cards. She said all member will be referred to the digital version to either print out or take a screen shot: www.disneyvacationclub.com/newcard

Ours was stuck to a normal piece of paper along with the big brochure about the anniversary stuff. I think that if you thought it was just the anniv stuff and managed to only pull out the thicker paper brochure, it would be EASY to miss the other paper.
 
We are in Canada, DH and I are both owners on our contract (same last name, same mailing address). No cards yet for us!

As I mentioned earlier, only my DH got a card in the Silver Anniversary mailing, but per Dean Marino :thumbsup2 I will wait until after March 1st to call if I don't get mine by then. My DS and I have our annual summer trip planned and I will need my own card by that time. Ridiculous, but typical, that this happened.

To verify the membership is still active. I'm sure there are people who have sold their membership still using the card for discounts. They do key in the member # for ticket discounts to verify.

Per this thread there are still a lot of people that haven't received their cards or only gotten one so far. I haven't received yet and it will be awhile before I worry about it.
 
I just need mine before May. If not I'll just take a screenshot from the members page.

Surely you can just use your existing card until the new one arrives?
 
Mine arrived in a shiny silver envelope. Just a plastic card, doesn't change much. Certainly nothing worth calling member services over when they could be spending their time helping people with real DVC matters. But thats just my opinion.
 
Well, if ours don't come by the end of February, I guess we will have to call or print them off ourselves because we are going to Aulani in April and will need them there.
