New drop sequence on ToT!!

Pandy and I went to MGM on Sunday for a last ride on Rock-N-Roller Coaster before she headed back up north. It wasn't long ago, she was scared to ride this "little coaster". We got our normal FRONT CAR and had a good ride.

Since it was her last day I decided we should drop in on TOT for one more ride. She has riden this thing many times but she is still really scared of it. If I had known what we were in for on this ride.....WE WOULD HAVE GONE SOONER!!!!

We made our way through the lobby......into the boiler room and in our elevator in no time.....We get started on the trip to the drop shaft, just like always. As we pull forward into the shaft this is where it took a GREAT turn!! Anyone who has riden TOT knows that once the car settles in and you feel the temperature change you are getting ready to DROP! WRONG!! WRONG!! WRONG!!

I got my body all prepared to drop....the car shook.....creaked and made a few other NEW sounds and WHOOSH!!! WE WENT STRAIGHT UP!!!!!!
I was NOT ready for that! Then a huge drop and shot back up to the top...We must have dropped 6 times.....and they blast you with air SOMEWHERE during the new ride....plus you smell something that smells like an electrical fire!!!

Poor Pandy was screaming her lungs out!!!! This never has been one of her favorite rides...NOW she may never get on it again....HAHAHAHAHA.......Up until now it has been like" Ok we can go ride TOT"....I was gettin bored with it...But not now!!! The changes they have made make it just like a new ride....

YOU HAVE TO DO THIS!!!! It was GREAT......don't believe me? Ask Pandy when she gets her voice back.......

I've read about the new drop sequences, and can't wait to try it myself in about a month!

We did TOT three times....I noticed the new sequence...Brisully has a picure of our group he purchased...DW has her hands over her face That first shot up was totally unexpected!

Oh boy, I can't wait!!! DH and I are going to WDW next month. I've told him there was a change to TOT, but I didn't know what it was!
I'm not going to tell him, though. I want to see the look on his face

When we were there last week, we rode ToT twice. The first time was a pretty 'routine' drop. The second time was completely different! Not only were there more drops (more long drops at that!), but half way through, the doors opened up again. Instead of seeing outside into MGM, all the ghosts were right in front of you! Everyone who got off that car commented on the changes. As we all walked out of the ride, you could hear people commenting on how EVERYONE who got off that car was holding their stomachs! Fun!!!

I took Bobcat on TOT, it was her first time on it and it had the new drop sequence....I loved it!!! There's nothing like going on TOT with a newbie!!!
