We received our confirmation as well. Just a word of caution, it had the correct date, but the wrong time. We were scheduled for 8 p.m., the postcard said 10 a.m. I called the original reservation number, the lady asked what time I thought I had booked, I responded with what time I knew I had booked and it turned out that it was an error in the printing of the confirmation. The CM went on to say that I was the 3rd call she received about the wrong time today and she didn't now if/what they were going to do about it.![]()
Yeah, that's weird.
I hope this turns out to be more than a hard sell of DVC. I don't know what to expect, but I do know when we were on the Member Cruise last year, it seemed as if that their intent was to cram DVC and adding points onto us. If that's the case, it's going to be an early night for my family.
Cindy,
We received our confirmation yesterday and the date and time is wrong. We are scheduled at the 8pm on Wednesday also, and the card said the 2nd at 6pm? They dont even have a tour at this point do they?! I have to call and see what the problem is and get this straightened out! Maybe we will see you guys there!
I told her that "If this is Disney, this is terribly unprofessional." Her response was, "Well, this isn't really Disney. It is a third party mailing company that was responsible." I told her that anything that had Disney's name on it and sanction with it was, indeed, Disney. Ultimately, she agreed, but still could not help me because "no one is in."
All I can say is that I am glad that I am not a member services' rep scheduled to answer the "Doorway To Dreams" phone today!
An email was distributed to all member services people this morning about the significant screw up of the third party company that was contracted to send the notifications.
Speaking with a member of the Doorway To Dreams office, I was told that the "vast majority" of confirmation cards sent out were wrong. I was also told that the dates/times that we have all reserved are still in the computer in their proper, original order and that we will be fine when we show for our scheduled appointments. I was told to ignore the cards that were sent.
The rep also told me that we would not be received anything else in the mail or email or by phone but simply to show up when we had first reserved.
I'm glad the third party company didn't mess up the computerized reservation times. THAT would have been a huge mess.
So, I'm still on for this coming Friday at 12:00 Noon. Maybe I'll see some of you there! I'm bringing some guests with me hoping to hook them into our little secret!
I just had a call from DVC confirming the time I booked. He told me to ignore any mailing I get and that I will receive an email with the correct info. It was stated in a nice way though...."we're excited...does this time still work for you, etc." If I hadn't read the DIS I wouldn't have given it two thoughts.
Caller id said "Disney Cruise Lines."![]()
What a headache this must be for them.![]()
So Woodfield experts, is the consensus to enter through Nordstrom's or by the Improv? Thanks.
They mentioned it's been a big mess! Guess the company that handled this mailing won't be seeing any more Disney business!!!![]()
