DF~ she (Reilly) gets kisses and hugs quite a bit! One very spoiled canine. The memories of my past fur babies are now ones that bring smiles and happy thoughts - I am sure that day will come for you. And...you will know when it's time for another.

I was at the dentist today and my hygenist is headed to WDW this August with her SIL and niece(4 yo) and nephew(11 yo). They are staying at the WL in a bunk room. She is Disney novice and quickly realized that I am a Disney veteran. I had great fun answering her questions and giving her asked-for advice. Btw, my teeth did get cleaned, too!

Boy~ How'd you do that? The most I can manage is a "smile, a nod and a pleading look that says "can I spit now?" LOL!

I was thinking the same thing, Denise...all I can do is nod my head while I am in the chair, and for a talker like me it is maddening

I'm checking tonight. Miles is supposed to have taken care of everything. The only message I have from him right now has to do with Names and ages of children. Does anyone know when Deb (#1HM) is due back from AKL? We need to have a chat, if possible! Has anyone gotten the email to vote in the polls at the Magical Gatherings planner? I will resend them tonight... Look for an email from me and let me know if you don't see it! Crazy stuff!

I'm back!!! I am in laundry you know what... and DS is leaving tomorrow for camp (school). I posted some highlights over on the concierge thread. Our vacation rockes... and I was able to finally meet Disfanrn! Great lady! She's even sweeter than she types! I also met MommaTink from the concierge thread. Also a great lady! You just can't beat a DIS member for being a wonderful person!

I will be there 20th through the 26th of July (noticing someone needs information). Danny is 10, I'm... older than that! DD is debating on going, although if she does, DBF stays HOME! Right now I am booked at the Dolphin CL, but that may change to Swan/ to the poly... to akl.. to.... ummm I have no idea! Depending on how quickly these bills get paid off, I could end up at the allstars! I will have more time tomorrow to post anything else anyone needs!

We had a great vacation... lots of Disney magic... even did the haircuts! I swear I saw Denise at MGM walking past the Brown Derby as we were walking in!

I will be on later to answer questions..... or to throw my clean laundry in the middle of the room and we can have a fold in! LOL

OHHH MY laptop works! It wasn't on my desk this morning, so I was very worried, but it showed up later. No reformat! I am no longer laptopless!

Hope he did well! My guy played first base last night and made some good plays.

I'm hoping this is a good sign for our trip. My friend just returned from the Dolphin and she had the same corporate rate that I do for July. When she was checking in the CM asked if she was the CEO of the company since she was getting such a nice room (for such a great rate!) She had an Epcot view and watched Illuminations lots of nights right there!

Disbug - they should have that number for sure on my ressie now. Only problem becomes that I got an email back confirming it being added to my Dolphin ressie - but I have a SWAN ressie. So I emailed her back to check on this!!! She wanted a CC # to so she could charge my first night to it also. (SD made my ressie for me and I never had a CC # - it was just courtesy hold). That's probably good in the long run since I will then have a smaller bill in July!! I did ask for her direct # so hopefully all will be straightened out tomorrow!!

Oh yeah, DF - your box is not full that I know of right now - just ribbing you because nearly every time I TRY to PM you - IT IS!!!!

I guess this is a good place to ask since noone's replied as of yet to my "transportation" inquiry.

How much time did/do you allow to travel by bus from the Dolphin to the MK for early entry days and other times (it might be different, I don't know)? How much time do you usually wait at the bus stop? How often does the bus come? And, given the size of the resort, how much time does it take to get to the bus stop from the rooms -- let's say, (being optimistic), the fireworks view rooms?

The Angels played well last night, but not as well as the other team! Thanks, paras4i for the compliment on my little guy! Actually she is a girl! LOL! She did very well and made some plays that had the bleachers yelling "Great Play 1st BASE!" We need to work on her batting more since our neighborhood batting cage was torn down a few years ago. We'll have to do it the old fashioned way (and pray for the windows!)

My poor DH, who is the only brother in his family to have children has all girls and sometimes will lament about the family name "dying with him"! PUHLEEZE! I just pat him on the back and say ... wait for the grandchildren dear!

Sorry didn't see your transportation question~! I would allow at least one hour to one hour and 15 minutes to get to the MK by bus! I say this because once you get there you want to be towards the front of the line at the turnstiles. You also have to go through security baggage check etc... Always, better to be early than late!

You will usually wait no more than 10 minutes for a bus.

It will take 10 to 15 minutes to walk from the bus stop to a fireworks view room if you are walking with me! LOL! On a faster pace, 10 minutes tops!

The Swan and Dolphin sometimes share a bus with the Boardwalk Inn, YC and BC resorts. This can add an extra 20 to 30 minutes to your trip. If your bus is FULL they will head straight to the park.

When we were at the Dolphin at Easter we shared the MK bus with the Boardwalk, Y&B Club, as well as the Swan... They were always packed if we missed the 1st bus of the morning.... Since MK opened at 8 the whole time we were there it took a try but we figured out that if we were at the bus stop by 7:10 there would be room for us... One on the bus I'd say it took about 10 minutes to get to the bus stop at the MK.....
Then security etc.... If you have never opened the MK .. DO IT!!! I never had until our last day and it brought tears to my eyes... There is just something special about that!!!

We took our family trip to WDW last month and it was INCREDIBLE!!! You will love the Dolphin. Personally, I do not think the Boardwalk area can be beat.

Transportation- We tried to get on a bus every morning at least 45 min. before opening. We were there mid week before spring break started and this worked well for us. On EE day at MK we were at the bus stop at 7:15 and we had a nice place in line. We did sometimes stop at other resorts. When MK opened at 9 we were on the bus at 8:25-30 and we were a little further back in line.
Buses came by every 10 minutes or so. The boat transportation even seemed more frequent. We only waited 5 minutes or so. I guess we could have walked, but my DD's (6 & 4) loved the boat, and we were not using strollers, so this helped us to save up a little energy!!!!

Be sure to go out to the boardwalk at night and enjoy the free shows: juggling, etc. My girls loved it!! The also loved the Dolphin Fountain, quick service with good lunch fare.

Another not to miss item... THE GROTTO POOL! It is my kids' favorite pool at Disney! Also, Tubbi's burgers taste better and better the later it is! *not really, but it seems like that!* One of their burgers at 1am was like heaven!

Congrats to all of the baseball/softball players out there! Need I remind you, though, that its HOCKEY PLAY OFF TIME? LOL I go around singing "Its the most, wonderful time, of the year!" during the Spring playoffs! OK, hockeyrant done. I do truly hope all of your children love the sport they're in and get great enjoyment from it!

When is my next vacation? Can I set my stopwatch yet? I can't get spectro out of my head!

Hi everyone!! I can't really see you all that well as I am buried under a large pile of laundry- Hockeymom, I feel your pain!

We just got back this am- we went to the airport on Tues eve to leave at 7:55pm and our flight was overbooked- they asked for volunteers to give up their seats, and offered 2 round trip tickets each for compensation!!! They also paid for our overnight hotel stay and meals!! So we flew out at 6 am this morning, to Atlanta and then Flint! We were giddy with our 6 round trip tickets for FREE!! Amazingly, when we reached Atlanta, the flight to MI was also overbooked, and we could have done it again!! But we figured we couldn't use 12 tickets in 1 year! I see another WDW trip coming on......

The Swan was wonderful, Thabo and Mama T so genuine and sweet- we thoroughly enjoyed them and the heavenly beds!

DF- glad to hear you are feeling more upbeat!

We also visited Celebration, and looked around-what beautiful houses and town, so charming and quaint.

Glad everyone who was traveling recently is back safely- and to everyone on their way-have fun!!

THe same thing happened to us! They claimed they only overbooked by two people, yet there were 12 of us with no seats! Just when I finally calmed DH down and told him that work wouldn't die w/o him, they found us seats! I will tell you this, if this happens return in July I will definitely take them up on their offer! We were both on our cells talking to our respective bosses when our seats were finally "found". Btw, they told us that anyone being bumped would be on the nonstop the next day. That would have been YOUR flight!

I still love airtran and its location/price for us.. just didn't like that last minute two hours of stress!

Good luck with that laundry! Glad to hear you also had a wonderful trip!

KIS~ a hint- the Disney bus picks up and stops first at the Swan. I would walk to the Swan bus stop to board rather than the Dolphin bus stop.

Welcome home #1HM and DisfanRN! It is always such a let down to leave the most magical place. It takes me a few days to "get over it" and then I'm scheming and planning the next trip.

Btw, SWA is having the most awesome internet airfare deals to Orlando. $49 each way from Manchester NH! This is just too good to turn down - so I booked it! $345 total for 3 people round trip. What a deal!

You lucky bumpers!!!! I SOOOO wanted to fly Northwest because they overbook so many flights. However, because of their prices going skyhigh, I booked Midwest instead. They told me they do not overbook their flights under any circumstances. (That was important to know because their was only one flight to Orlando that day). So no bump for me!!!
