THE EAGLE HAS LANDED.....Well Connor has landed home today.....he is excitedly getting ready for trick or treating....

October 31 is his favorite day he says....because of his release...not only the candy...:teeth: :teeth:

Points for CL is posted as 1250 pts, but I've heard of people being charged 1000 points per night. I have not heard if the Cash and Points promo is going next spring! I'll defer to our resident experts!

Happy Halloween!

To our Trick or Treating families - Have fun and stay safe! I'm manning the door and giving out the treats along with DH. One DS is at a friend's house and other DS is on campus.

On topic: I, too, have heard that some have received CL=1000 points and that's what is says on the spg website.

On topic>> Being a Swan or Dolphin fish would make a very nice Halloween costume! (OK, its really not on topic, but it mentions the name!)

Off topic>> We had to make a candy run tonight! Weather was the most perfect it has been in decades! We started with enough for 450 and had to make a candy run while DD manned the veranda for 200 more. My best guestimate would put our trick or treaters count at just under 600!

Hope everyone had a very safe Halloween. Pizza is about to be delivered, and its spooky movie night for a large group of ten year old boys who are sorting candy in my family room.

Debbie

Wow, Debbie....600? That would be my whole school! We have a gigantic parade downtown and there is a HS football playoff game. So the town is abuzz! Beautiful weather here too. Even slept with our windows open last night. :scared1:

Happy Halloween everyone!!!

I've been super busy this week with all the Halloween festivities, but reading thru quickly to catch up, I wanted to answer the inquiry from JGates about the sharps container. They provided one to me free of charge, I used it the whole time I was there, and they disposed of it. Super convenient!!

Post more when I get time!!! Have a great weekend everyone, Debbie can you believe this beautiful evening?? It feels like we are still in Florida!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Hope all of you have enjoyed a wonderful Holiday! DD is at a friends house for a spooktacular sleep-over (campy scary movies, pizza, candy, etc), I'm manning the Candy bowl (FULL SIZE BARS!) for the trick-or-treaters and DH is "tricking" them from behind the door! It's always a good eve. We finally had some rain and cold weather earlier in the afternoon, something we needed all week. This marks the beginning of the HOLIDAY SEASON! Bring on the TURKEY....(LOL).

Weather is beautiful here, too. Halloween night was warm enough for the children to be w/o coats. Today we are breaking the 70 degree mark. Our last hurrah???!!!!!before ole man winter comes knocking?

I just sent for the new Disney Planning Video - whether I go or not, I just love getting the video every year and I love getting mail form WDW. :teeth:

Have a happy day, sorority sisters and brothers. :wave2:

Hope everyone had a great Halloween. DD went as an east side belly dancer?! Actually she wore a dance costume from a recital. Then she added a rose to her hair and a jean jacket. Funny how they come up with these names (east side?) Kids!

ZW, I hope your DS had a wonderful Halloween! I'm so glad he is dong better! You have had a rough month! Your trip is around the corner!

Mouseteacher, Enjoy this glorious weather! I'm on my way to order the new video too!

Waving to everyone!

Muffy

LOL I should have added that we live in a small village, with many areas being "shipped in" so they are able to trick or treat as they are in rural areas! I thought I had accounted for "good weather" candy.... I was way off on my count!

DS was "Scream". Last year he was "Scream". The year before he was "Scream". Trust me, this is not because I won't buy him another costume! :) DD was forced into candy distribution for part of the night but ended up enjoying herself watching all of the little people all dressed up in their finest with no winter coats to hide them!

Happy Game Day Saturday! GO GREEN GO WHITE! (Michigan State)

Debbie -----who married a wolverine (that other college)

Mine came in the mail yesterday, (in the little blue package)...and we could not WAIT to watch it! DH & I viewed it as DD was preparing for the sleep over party. The theme is "Magical Gatherings" (With the theme music "You've got a friend in me" from Toy Story). FINALLY...it's the FIRST VIDEO in years, which is truly different. You'll know what I mean when you view yours. I am such a sucker for these videos, and am wispy by the end of the tape.

We MUST be on the same wavelength, as I was chomping at the bit to urge all of you to order your copy TODAY!! :hyper:

HAPPY NOVEMBER 1st!

DD's H.S. Colors are the same as the Wolverines!

I am somewhat of a Michigan State fan ... do you ever go to the games? My student is the Feature Twirler with the band. I sure wish I could have made it to a game this year!;) GO GREEN!

Yes, I agree, it was great to see all of the kids in their costumes with no coats to cover them! This year was much better than the one that snowed a few years ago! to everyone!

Happy November everyone!!

DF - where did you call for the new video? Would love to have it for our student trip to show the kids.
On topic: We are less than a week now for our WDW trip - a wonderful long weekend -and are both ready to be encompassed in the "magic" once again, even if it is only for a short time.

#1 Hockeymom - 600? Since the kids in our neighborhood have"aged" we were down to three last night, and it was lonely! The chocolate is being given away - do not want it here. Have now lost 37 lbs on the Atkins and it is not coming back to me!!!

Mouseteacher- wasn't it wonderful weather yesterday? We could easily be spoiled like this more often.

Enjoy Sunday. Caroline

Zurg's wife>> I am so happy to hear that Connor is home and doing better. I know that must be a relief to have him home from the hospital! Continued P and PD for you and your family!

Kelli>> WOW! I will have to look for her! Unfortunately I hardly ever see games at State, unless you count hockey, though I do sometimes have the prized michigan/michigan state tickets when the game is at the big house. DH was at the Purdue/Michigan game last weekend.

DF>> I ordered the DVD! I also forwarded my email to my father!

Lovingthemouse>> WOW! Congrats! I keep on debating going on that diet again. It did work, and this hockeymom spends too much time in a car and not enough time moving. My 40 pounds to lose has doubled in the past few years. Keep with it and congrats!

Disfanrn>> I honestly don't remember such a nice Halloween since I was the trick-or-treater! What a nice surprise for this year!

*waving to all my sorority sisters and honorary brothers*

zurgswife hang in there and take things day by day. Make sure you have a meeting with connors school nurse and teachers and explain everything that needs to be done to ensure a healthy school environment. I have had numerous diabetic kids, youngest being 3 in my school and it takes lots of planning and meetings but everything falls into place.
BTW my DS is also connor spelled the same way!

Caroline~:wave2: To order the video for your kids, go to www.waltdisneyworld.com (listen to the music...it's MAGICAL). Pull down the site map and "Order a Free Vacation planning kit"! It's that easy. Enjoy! :sunny:

I ordered mine last Tuesday. I received a mailing for the video that day. My li'l sis (14), who has never been to WDW and has always longed to go, looked over my shoulder as I filled out the info. As I got to the section where it asks, "What are the ages of the children who will be travelling with you?", Heide said a little sadly, "I wish you could fill that part out." So I did: ages 12 (little brother) and 14. I told her "just in case".
She doesn't know that DH and I are planning to take Tony and Heide to WDW in early Dec. 2005!! They are my half-siblings technically, and my mother and their father cannot and have not been able to think about, much less afford, a trip to WDW. I am jsut happy to be blessed with the opportunity to make one of their wishes come true!! ::MickeyMo princess: ::MinnieMo

Oh, what a sweet surprise that will be for them......

DisRN - thank you for the Sharps information!

Raging sinus headache created a four hour nap - now that it is bedtime, I am finally awake again!!!

I am adding the Disney video to my 'to do' list of things to take care of. Then when I cross it off I can say I accomplished something today!

Good morning, Sigma Delta - a beautiful fall morning in New England. Now that Halloween is over, our thoughts turn to Thanksgiving - one of my favorite holiday (the best is the 4th of July ---- I just love summer!!!)

aesalsa~ How wonderful for your sibs! Can you keep the secret that long? I don't think I could.

Caroline~ I hope you are enjoying this wonderful weather, too. I know that western MA gets ole man winter faster than eastern MA.

*dreaming of the Grotto pool* - I can hear the waterfall and the laughter of families.
