NEW...DOLPHIN/SWAN..."questions and answers"...tips and hints!

I'm doing 3 nights on points at the Dolphin during Christmas....rooms are 10,000 points per night and the exec suite I have it 20,000......can't wait...hopefully this summer I'll be able to do the summer meet and use points for a portion of that trip also...

Opps for got to ask for Pixie dust and prayers.....the little black rain cloud is back to my family again....

My Dad had a prostate biopsy on wednesday...everything was going go until saturday when he seemed to be leaking blood ( he is a heart patient and on blood thiner so it probably has to do with this and the biopsy)...and way he his bleeding fairly regularly through his bowels and is in CCU on Oxygen.....he blood counts we Ok (read this as not critical) last night so they didn't have to give him blood....but the Dr came into Scope him to try to find the bleeder.. I hope to find out this morning how that went...fingers crossed....

really happy - a teacher has asked me to help her plan her family trip to WDW next Thanksgiving. Nothing lifts my spirits more than talking Disney!!!

DD is very ill, and still coughing through the night. I am trying to convince her to go to the Dr. one more time, just for cough meds if nothing else. Hopefully, she will go this eve. Poor thing, first pneumonia...now this! :-(

Thanks for alll the good thoughts...things seem to have stabilized tonight....the bleeding has stopped but they haven't figured out where he was bleeding from...he got 2 units of blood today and his hemoglobin was still low....hopefully it will go up tonight...My Aunt a nurse...and seems to think it has something to do with the blood thinner and he had the incorrect dosage...hopefully things will be better tomorrow...

DF Lots of good thoughts for your DD hope she gets better soon....

Disbug~ Great idea on the S/D sorority thread.

I am at home this morning due to a freak snow squall that blew through in about 5 minutes. It left the roads snow covered and like a skating rink since our temps dropped quite low. Many accidents and the highway is a parking lot - the south bound side that heads into Boston. I started out for school and crawled on the highway. It was quite unnerving - so left the highway and headed home to wait until the roads clear up.

Hello all

Just thought I would pop out of lurking mode to say good morning. ZW and Ozzie, sending more PD your way.

We had a great thanksgiving -- mom did really well, I managed not to burn anything and Potatohead was an amazing help cooking many of the dishes at her place and bringing them over. All six of the children under age 7 behaved themselves and all 20 people seemed to go away happy and full. What more could I ask for?

Several pages ago, someone asked about hotels in NYC. Though not a place to accumulate points, the Ritz Carlton in Battery Park is really lovely. Great restaurants downtown, lovely view of Statue of Liberty and amazing service at the hotel.

Rav ~ It was me asking about NYC, I am going to plan a trip for DH, and our oldest DD in late May. I have not made any decisions yet, but I am planning on staying at a Starwood property and use some of our points. Thanks for all of your input, I will keep you posted on what we decide.

Thanks for the Pixie Dust~for DD! She went to school this am, tired and still coughing, but a bit more rested. She actually slept more than an hour at a stretch (about 4 hour-intervals between waking up coughing) last eve, so she is pleased.

Missing Disneyland and WDW something terrible right now.The little taste of DL a week ago has left us all wanting more! We are planning to stop in again on our way down this weekend (from Lake Arrowhead), and just pick up a few things (plus get a FEELING we only get @ Disney!). Then, we are going to Knott's. I still have to put up the tree (fake in the formal), and then buy/decorate the live one! The days are passing too quickly for my liking, anyone in a position to SLOW THINGS DOWN? (LOL)

Good news from the DF and joshua4 households!

Mom Poppins~ You can have the snow -ugh! I'll gladly send you some! Give me palm trees and sunshine.

I didn't have the day off - it was just a squall and below freezing temps that sent the roads into ice city! I just waited about an hour and half for the sun to do its work and headed out to school.

Mouseteacher, DS reported the same road conditions during his commute to work this AM. Mom's still worry about their 24 y/o's when driving on ice!

DF, happy to hear your DD is better! I can't wait to get back to WDW myself! It is just around the corner! What a busy time of year. I am happy to report my shopping is DONE and the tree is up!

I hope everyone checked out disbugs great idea about the journal. I think it will be great fun reading and signing it during our stays.

Little Black Rain Cloud update.....Tuesday....they did an emergency scope of his lower colon today...and they found the tear....YIPPEEE....4 stitches later he was back in CCU.....My uncle arrived at about 4pm....and is with my step mom....my sis flys in tomorrow....Lots of support as tomorrow is the day that my step moms Chemo usually drags her down......Things are looking good....I still feel extremely stressed (but the beer is helping)...thanks for your support....
