Emme

Hi Putnam, Westchester here! We will be doing the same ride May 9th. I know I should think planning this part also, but I do not know how long we will drive for. What are your travel plans? Have you booked a hotel to spend the night or are you driving straight through?

I have club level at the Swan reserved for me, DH, DS9, DD7 for 8 nights in Aug. Can anyone tell me what this includes? Is it like the CR where there are two different levels to the conc? Will the resort fee be waviered? Any answeres world be appreciated. I got a really good rate thru DU. Booked over the internet, and haven't had a chance to talk to anyone yet. Thanks.

Hi CSMommy! We are leaving Thursday 5 am and we will drive about 12 hours to Florence SC where we stay at a terrific Wingate Inn. They have an awesome free breakfast and the rooms are really nice!
Then we will leave the Wingate Friday around 7 am, stop around noon at a Steak and Shake for lunch and arrive in Disney, the Swan to be exact, around 2 or 3 pm. This really works best for us beacuse we get to Disney refreshed and not dragging because we have slept well the night before. This has been our plan the last few times we went and it has worked wonderfully!
I also rent 4 books on tape at the library and we listen to them on the way down and the time really flies...
Any questions just ask
:D

I have less than 24 hours before our fun begins....:) :)

Emmy

Emme have a safe trip down. Maybe i'll see you poolside this weekend.

Anyone realize that there is a weathernet camera posted at the swan and dolphin. Our school has a weatherbug and i just scrolled down to orlando and low and behold there is also a setup at the swan & dolphin. The camera overlooks the beachclub. FYI it is currently 67 degrees with high expected to be 80 today!!

Are you trying to depress me with that weather information? It is 28 degrees here with snow falling! That is why I have 3 trips scheduled to Orlando this year!:D

Sending Pixie Dust to all those traveling to Orlando and the Swan/Dolphin for Easter vacation!!!:D :D :D

For all you travelers driving to WDW this week! **********May you all have a memorable & fun trip, and a wonderful time in the MAGIC. ;)

FYI...Our TEMP was 85 degrees yesterday...here in CALI! Whew~!

Mouseteacher...Indeed! LOL (borderline Laureate!). :p Swan/Dolphin are absolutely WONDERFUL places, with management whom recognizes and appreciates the "backbone" of the Country (w/discounts)! Three CHEERS for these resorts!!!;)

(LOL)...You're nearly a MONTH ahead of me! Are you beginning to P-A-C-K, or make LISTS? :p

I am living out of a suitcase, DF99;) DW swears that I am obsessed (or possessed as the fact may be). The problem is that I am running out of things to plan, so I am continuously modifying in an attempt to not stop planning. But hey, my modifications got us the Swan studio at an awesome rate:p I just can't wait to go to Beaches and Cream (excuse me while I do the Homer Simpson donut drool):teeth:

Peter Pan's Flight...nearly makes me cry. I especially relish the lifelike scenes of "Nana" barking down below as I FLY overhead!
:(
Hey . . . don't get me started.

For all of you who are watching your counters .... :bounce: !

However, I am envious and wish I were going this year. Hmmm, I'm still eyeing the cash and points spg at the S/D. Very tempting!!!!!:sunny:

To quote "NIKE"...JUST DO IT! LOL. That deal is UNREAL for that location. If you
CAN do it...YOU SHOULD! ;)

Braque...are you sentimental, too? Sometimes, just a scene or a memory...makes me "misty" (no--not the Johnny Mathis song), and Longing for the MAGIC! :)

oh, Jay...LOL. You poor thing. DW MUST have a GREAT sense of humor, and a lot of patience (not to mention...LOVE). I can easily LEAD the LOONEY PARADE about a week prior to our departure date. It's funny, how my sensibility seems to FLEE just when I need it most! I have already amassed a "book-bag" stuffed to the seams with material, reservation confirmation, Birnbaums & Entertainment book, Disney stuff, etc. I've been "preparing" for the past 8+ months (since leaving the DOLPHIN). :p So, I KNOW the feeling, very well. I too...am "comfortably possessed" with the DISNEY SPIRIT! :p ;)

*Received some paperwork last week from NASA. It's from the Manager of the Astronaut Selection Office. It's a full packet and application (some already pre-approved, and filled-out) for the position of Mission Specialist/Pilot Astronaut candidate. If they receive this app. by July 1st of this year, and I made it through the selection process, I could be reporting for Duty to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Spring of 2004. WOW...that's pretty FAST! My parents are NOT pleased, and do NOT wish for me to send in the application, period. My family, DH & DD support me in every endeavor (no pun intended), and give me the freedom to decide on my own. I called and spoke with the Selection Manager, and was told he would "notify" me of the next application acceptance (If I wish to pass on this one). I feel confident I could make it into the program if I wished. Decisions...decisions. ;)

Oh Dreamflight, you should go for it. How cool. you can go where no woman has gone before. I can just picture it you with your disney t-shirt under your uniform.
COOL!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

:) DF -- Remember - A dream is a wish your heart makes / Live your dreams!!! Go for it! We'll all be rooting for you and tracking you in outer space. Don't forget to bring a little PD with you.

DF--Wow! What an opportunity! ! ! Go with what YOU want....do what is best for you and your family....don't let anyone pressure you to do something that is not right for you!

(I know....easier said than done)

Okay--I'll admit it.......I've "stored" a few Disney shirts and socks in my suitcase.........just to get them "out of the way."

Yes...this one will require a LOT of thought. I mostly detest the thought of "moving" to Houston. No offense to any Texans...but I LOVE Cali. This seems to be the largest barrier to overcome. The rest...is just details. I was just discussing this matter w/DD, and the tremendous risk involved (which is inherent in every day living, as well). She thought about what I said, and responded by telling me I could take one flight...that's it! LOL. As for the shirt...it would be a DIS shirt...for sure! I'd have a "metting" at the Dolphin prior to a launch...and have all of you SIGN it for some extra Pixie Dust! Plus, a little Donald in a Space suit wouldn't hurt. :p Thanks for the supportive comments. ;)

Wow, Dreamflight. I don't know what to say. I am blown away by your post. How long would you be gone? Does this have something to do with your micro-biology job, or something you just applied for? Moving to Texas? I think you should do whatever you feel you have to do. Go where your heart takes you. Risky? Yes. Awesome? Yes. Keep us posted.
