Does anyone have more details on how this Disney Visa offer for direct purchases works? I have the card, but the offers page doesn't really give much info other than you can save up to $7500 on a DVC membership and they want you to call for info (which I don't want to do unless this really was lucrative enough to convince me to buy direct :)).

For context, I'm a "pending" resale DVC member. We haven't closed yet so I can't see anything that may be shared on the DVC site. That would also make me curious as to whether this offer looks different for new or existing members.

We do want to buy direct "eventually." I just don't know if that is right now unless it was too good to refuse.

If it works like it did last summer, you simply need to hold a Disney Visa card to qualify. It is an extra $1000 that stacks on top of the normal incentives. You do not need to use the actual Disney Visa card to pay for any of the contract.

What resort would you look at? Here is the existing member Poly pricing with the Visa discount bundled in:

I just got the email. Offer ends April 28, 2025. You have to be a member by that date AND hold the DV card and use it. It stacks with 6 months 0%.

250 Aulani $1000 (new purchasers)

150 RIV, POLY, Cabins, Aulani and Villas at Disneyland Hotel (members and new purchasers)..."Additional Credit Offer"
(I read the fine print and I'll be darned if I can find what the discount is!)

Hopefully, someone with better eyesight can read that tiny print!! :worship:

Interesting to see they are making you use the card this time. I assume that is for the down payment, since this deal is eligible for financing, if you went that route.

EDIT - I just received the email and skimmed the terms. I don't see anywhere that you have to actually use the card for the $1000 off. For the 0% financing, you'd need to, as that is an ongoing benefit of the Disney Visa card. Where did you see it state that you have to pay using the card to get the $1000 off? I may have missed something.

Talked to my guide yesterday. Don’t need to use the Disney visa just have it. Can be the no fee one as well. We are going to use it though for the six month financing. With incentives for 150 points Poly is looking at $199 a point for new members.

235 x 150 =35,250
-900 incentive
-1000 Disney visa
-3000 MB
-500 referral
Total $29850

MB is a rebate check though

This is the detail from the email. I agree, I can't find that specific detail regarding using DV either so that was an assumption on my part. Any additional discount is helpful as is the 6 month 0%.

Wait, do existing Disney Visa Card holders get 0%APR on the DVC purchase for 6 months? or does it only applies to new card applications?

Thank you! Poly is actually what I've been interested in so that helps.

All card holders qualify but the 0% only applies to the amount purchased on the Disney Visa card.

If you have multiple Chase cards you may be able to move credit from other cards to increase the limit on your Disney card but I believe it's a case by case approval from Chase so not guaranteed.

Does anyone know if this offer is one time use? I am considering 2 smaller contracts and trying to do the math on how much more it would actually be since the incentive would cover the closing fees.

Dang I wish I knew about this incentive. We just closed on direct points a couple of weeks ago. I get offers for Disney visa all the time, but never joined.

The D23 discount kicks in below that if you sign up for D23 Gold. Poly, for example:

Thanks! Does the Essential Gold qualify and is it the $500 developer credit listed on the chart? So spend $50 for a membership and save $500? Are most credits stackable with DVC? Really trying to get the cost down anyway possible so we can add on :)

I believe so!

I am looking at getting the Disney Visa CC. What reward point category does it fall under if we put a good portion of a contract on the credit card? Like does it fall under under the 5 percent, 2 or 1? What about annual passes also? Trying to maximize the rewards with getting $400 from the Visa as well. Thanks for any input

Anything direct from Disney (including DVC and park tickets) that isn't streaming will get 2% back on the Premier along with 2% on gas/grocery/restaurants, Hulu/Disney+/ESPN+ is 5%, everything else is 1%. The free card is 1% back across the board but only has $200 signup bonus. Premier costs 49/year, so you'll net $150+ the first year.

I went with Chase travel cards (Sapphire Reserve and Business Ink) and Disney Visa Premier to maximize my DVC purchase. I think I came out about $3.2k ahead on my 45k purchase compared to only using my normal 2% cash back card after accounting for sign up bonuses, earning interest on cash during the 6 month interest free period, and extra 1% cash back on my Chase cards when DVC falls under travel.

I know there are some good bonuses on Amex business cards too but I decided to stick with Chase.

Is the best way to maximize rewards for an sorcerer pass is to put it on the disney premier visa? Again just trying to get the cost down as much as I can. With the $400 to open a card that helps a lot.
