Can you refer your DH to the Inspire. You would get $100 Referral and then he would get the $600 in Instant Gift Card/Statement Credit. You can always cancel this card after a year if you don't get the benefits from it and just keep your current Disney card.
It's my DH actually that has the Premier, so I guess he could refer me. Just trying to figure out if makes sense for our particular situation. We have DVC. We will leave Universal on May 6 and check in for a week at BLT. We have a little over $1400 on Disney gift cards right now. We usually spend about $250-$275/day on food. So let's just say with inflation, we will now average $275 for 7 days=$1925. And we will use Disney Reward dollars to pay for our souvenirs. The other expense will be
Genie+ (ILL whatever it's called nowadays) plus paying for one of the "fancy rides" each day, so how much is that $35 plus $20=$55/day for what used to be free (yes, I am still bitter about the loss of free fastpasses all these years later, hahaha) so $220 for the four of us times seven days= $1540. So we need $1925 for food and $1540 for lightning lanes/fancy rides=$3465 minus the $1400 on gift cards which would mean that we will be charging around $2000. But you can't put Genie Plus on the room charges, so I guess we would need to use gift cards to only pay for Lightning Lanes and charge all food back to the room, but we can't do that with quick service, so I don't know if I can actually get to the $2000 room folio charge? Unless we use the Reward dollars to pay for quick service and charge everybody's souvenirs.
Why is this such a headache? And why is Genie+ILL so dang expensive?? Dang Disney.
We bought our grown kid's Disney tix using
Attraction Tickets. DH and I have APs from using DVC points to get the sorcerer's pass. I don't know that we will have enough DVC points to buy APs next year and we're headed to
Disneyland next year.
Anybody help convince me one way or the other? Or let me know if I'm not understanding everything.
And I'm an authorized user on DH's card, so that's probably out.
