New Disney Visa "Inspire" card

"Disney Rewards Dollars may be redeemed for a statement credit using Pay Yourself Back® toward purchases made with your Disney® Inspire Visa® Card or Disney® Premier Visa® Card at select merchants within the 90 days before the redemption request date. "

This is the statement I was referring to. It was the first time I have seen the Inspire card mentioned on the Chase site.
The site mentions ALL Cards qualify for Pay Your Self Back.

Your original Statement is that it is only for the Premier and Inspire cards. That is simply not the case.
However the Inspire and Premier cards are the only cards that can use PYB for Airline tickets which was previously limited to just the Premier.
I'm not sure if that was what you were referring to but PYB does work for Disney purchases on all cards.
Interesting....I was just looking at the pay yourself back option for Chase DV, it states " only available with premier or inspire card". Checked it out, not interested. Still a bit of a miss for me.

Here is a screenshot from the website https://disneyrewards.com/terms/that you can see it states "all" and goes on to list "Disney Visa", Disney Premier Visa" and "Disney Inspire Visa"

I think I am a pass. I am already geting D+/Hulu (no ads) comped on a different card, and I am not 100% sure I'd hit $2K in folio spend per year, because it is just me and (sometimes) my partner. Neither mobile order nor lightning lane are charged to the room, I don't buy much merch, so that pretty much leaves table service dining. And without that $2K spend number, it's in the red for me.

I might track it this year and see, but I probably won't bother. I'm happy with my current portfolio, and if anything probably could trim annual fees rather than add.
IDK if you have the Premier already but if you do it is pretty much a washes out that extra $100 from the AF as I assume you would spend more than $200 a year on tickets which would get the $100 credit.

Of course if you have the regular version or don't have the card with your circumstances I could see why you would pass on it.

I called. No dice for me - too many recently opened accounts. Not surprised. Also can't product change since both of my Disney Visas have been open less than a year. Oh well. I imagine I will pick it up at some point. Need to give my credit history some time to cool off.
Rats haven't applied yet but am probably denied based on my CL and card counts with Chase.
I had just taken an upgrade offer too so I might not be able to product change either.

Thanks for taking one for the team to provide these DPs.

Question - we have the Premier card but this would absolutely make sense for us based on how we vacation between the cruise line and the parks. Will I get the sign up bonuses if I upgrade my current card, or should I apply for the Insipire Card, and then downgrade my premier card to the free version? I don't need to keep both with the annual fee but don't want to cancel and take a FICO hit for cancelling a line of credit.

I have the lowest tier version. I don't even keep it in my wallet day to day. It exists so that (a) I can get in on the occasional presale discount and (b) the infrequent picture with Darth Vader. I could never justify even the $50 for what is now the mid-tier version for a card I still wouldn't ever use to pay for anything.

If you already have the Premier you won't get any sign up bonuses even if you cancel it and re-apply.

Product changes generally do not qualify for sign-up bonuses.

Why? I'm guessing your credit score is already exceptional, and at that level small differences do not matter. They especially do not matter if you do not plan to take out a large loan in the next several months.

I can also tell you that the FICO score you think you have may not be the one your lenders actually see. I bought a house a few months ago, and the scores my lender reported retrieving were significantly different than the ones the (free) credit monitoring sites were quoting. However, even that didn't matter to the interest rate I ended up with. It was all "fine".

No bonus for an upgrade. Gotta apply new for the SUB.

I'm about to try for applying for Inspire and then downgrading our Premier to the no AF std card. I think I'm butting up against the 5/24 limit though from a credit report history scan. In that case, I'll have to rope in the Mrs to do it for us.

And I agree with Brian. The credit report ding will be minor and smooth out quickly. Unless you're planning a home loan, etc in the near term you're probably okay for the small temp hit.

That's not what I'm asking. I am asking if I would get the sign up bonus on the Inspire card. If I can get the sign up bonus on the Inspire card it would make sense for me to apply and then after approval downgrade my Premier card to the no fee card as I don't want to cancel a line of credit.

Well, my very first sentence in this thread was: "There is a new Disney Visa card on the way and I'm curious what it could mean for possibly an extra discount on buying DVC points with it."
I only go in the DVC threads and we spend a lot of money at Disney when we stay at the DVC resorts so I would have never known about this card if you didnt post this. It is also helpful for people buying now that maybe want to use this new option. So thank you ❤️

Actually never mind - just applied for the card, was instantly approved, and got the $300 gift card already. With the Disney Plus credit the card pays for itself so this was a no-brainer for us.

Ugh, if only this card had come out a month ago. Just opened new cards, probably hitting that 5/24 rule, recently. I hope you all will keep the thread posted on your results on the benefits of this card.
