Has anyone else noticed how many people are walking around The World in brand new shoes?!?!?!?! I know that sounds weird, but take notice the next time you're there. :scratchin Vacation+Disney= New shoes for the family!!!!!! :rotfl2: :tink: :mickeyjum

We've bought "new" shoes for our trips before. We usually get them a few weeks before our trip and break them in.

Well I'm taking three pairs next week. My Crocs that look old I think, my Clarke flip flops that look old but are not, leather just holds up well, and my Puma sneakers. Those look real new but are a few months old. I don't wear them often and DEFINITELY not when it's raining or muddy. Even my sneaks I wore last year still look new now. So yes, you may think I'm wearing new shoes but in reality I just keep mine clean

Just bought new crocs for the family. We plan on breaking them in a couple weeks before because I don't want complaining kids on vacation. :goodvibes

I guess this is OT, but I have a question for those of you with Crocs. We are going to WDW at the end of Sept. We normally do end of Nov./early Dec. trips, but we are going for the free dining. I normally wear my New Balance tennis for our trips. With Sept. heat and rain, I am not so sure that these will be the best option. So I did think about getting Crocs. My question is about cushioning. I get heel spurs. If I don't have support for my heels and bottom of my feet, I will end up in pain. Are the Crocs enough cushion and support for walking the pavement all day, every day at WDW? Does anyone have heel spurs that uses them? Are they ok?

i have crocs and wear them often. i do not have heel spurs, but a bad knee and a bad arch(opposite feet). crocs are cushy and i have no problems w/hurting feet/knee. it is like they absorb the shock. love them!

You might want to consider comparing the Crocs to Nothinz. The Nothinz have better heal and arch support, and more cushioning. I can't help you with the heal spurs. www.nothinz.com They are sold in a lot more stores than their website lists. At least around here I've seen them several places.

oh i love my croc, just got them last month, one of the mose comfortable shoe i had, the other was this nike sandal. I usually get new sandals for a disney trip because you break them in there :teeth:

Thank you for this information. I visited the web site in your link. I couldn't figure out how to find a store locator. Where do I see stores listed that sale them?

I'm such a dork, because I'm always pointing this out to DH every trip. I usually notice it when we're on the monorail or the busses because we're sitting still with not much to do but be nosy. :goodvibes

I just looked and didn't see one, just an online locater. I think www.shoes.com would be a good place to buy them, but I've bought several pair at Sportmans Warehouse for $25. I also have seen them in the specialty shoe stores in the mall.

I love seeing the women teetering around in the high heels in the parks. How do they do it? :tiptoe:

When i went to WDW i wore flip flops, but after the first day i had real bad blisters. So if any of you out there that is going to WDW/DL plz don't where flip flops bc you'll get bad blisters trust me.

Thats all I wore while in the parks was my teva flip flops. I didnt have any problems with blisters at all.

Hello all!

I need help!

When we went to Disney & Universal last August, I had planned to wear my Merrell sport sandals every day. But I had no choice but to alternate with something else because I had blisters... The only other shoes I had with me were flip-flops. Which weren’t so bad to wear every other day.

This year, I want to be more prepared! I am still bringing my Merrells, but I need something to alternate with...

Any suggestions? I do not like running shoes or crocs!!!

THANKS!!!

Um, going to ask a really stupid question, but what are Crocs?

Yea I know "get out of forum dumb kid!!!"

Sorry for bothering
