Hi,
Just wondering what people think of the possibility of the new DCL ships, or at least one of them being based here in the UK.

At the recent "UK Cruise convention" Peter Welch, Disney U.K. vice president, was quoted as saying

"In the next few months we will be sharing information about what these two new ships will be doing. Needless to say we are here in Dover so that gives you a clue as to what might be happening."

This sounds like a big hint. Any thoughts?

Matthew

The two new ships are to be based in Port Canaveral. The Wonder is going to LA. So the Magic may be based overseas but then who knows.

oooh! I hope so! For a while I heard they were going to Southampton, which got me very excited because my boyfriend lives there, so I was going to go see them. Now it has moved to Dover, but it would be great if we could go on a Disney cruise from the UK, saves me a flight!

I'm hoping we will get one of the ships here - new/old as long as it's Disney I don't care :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Hopefully they will let you book with DVC points too and then we'll just have to get there :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Also hoping they will allow you to bring alcohol on board as they currently do.

Knowing the UK though they will probably try and tax you on everything!

Sounds like it is more likely that the new ship/s will be based in Port Canaveral but be going across for UK / European cruises on a more regular basis.
