New Disney/Marvel super hero

It was on GMA today, that Disney/Marvel is introducing a new young Moslem girl as a super hero!

This will be interesting and I applaud them doing it!

As a comic book fan I always finid it funny when the MSM picks up on stuff like this because this is not the first muslim super-hero, not even from Marvel. There have been a few over the course of their history, even at least one female I can think of. I think the only difference here is that this character will have their own book and not be part of a team. I guess they will take hype where they can get it. I'll check out the book though, and if it's good, I'll give it a read.

Given that Disney owns the media outlet in question (ABC/GMA) the hype shouldn't come as any surprise. This may not be breaking new ground, but Disney/Marvel are going to market it for all it's worth.
