I paid during the evening and was back again around 8-9am next morning.

E-card. Points are still pending, but that’s normal for PayPal.

I will wait a couple days to see if the pay in 4 comes back, if not I’ll use the 10% for the remaining cards I need for my dues.

The terms don’t say anything about a limit, but the offer needs to be activated and has 7 days after activation to be used. Can’t say until when it can be activated.

On PayPal the 10% back says it excludes D23 and giftcards, is that not the case?

Sometimes it credits. But if it doesn’t it doesn’t and it’s a risk you take.

It always says that, but historically it has worked with them. No guarantees that it’s going to continue.

After being shut out online I was just able to buy 6 more- one at a time - at Target getting the $10 TGC each time. I would’ve gotten more except that looked like it was all they had left that was out.

Luckily, I have another store about 5 miles away to try.

I did 10 online and then two in the store with separate transactions.

After getting those six in-store I went to the other Target and was able to get 4 more on that account and 10 more on the other. I didn't bother trying for more. So in the end I got 10 online and 10 in-store for each account for a total of 40 DGC's. Those $10 TGC's will come in handy for Christmas shopping. So next years AP's are paid for with money left over. Can use that for the room or spending.

DGC for 42% off not bad!

OK that was clickbait I admit it lol. Had the spend 300 get 60 back at BJs on my AMEX...total for my groceries came up to just over 150 so I grabbed a 150 DGC with the extra $3 off that came to 141.99. Mentally I applied the 60 I'm getting back from AMEX to that gift card...let me enjoy it don't ruin it with reality ok? lol

If the only way you get to 300 is with a gc then it makes sense to count the entire savings against what was spent for the gift card. I do the same at target if I come it with regular shopping to hit the spend target.

I’m not sure how I did it but I was able to buy 11 $100 gift cards at target with the $10 target gift card attached. I thought maybe it was 10 limit no matter what gift card you got…. But I bought 10 Disney and then I bought a restaurant gift card as the 11th.

I’m actually just now getting back on here and looking at this thread since that deal started about a week ago with target….. and I’m seeing this PayPal deal blowing up on here lol I don’t think I have time to really look into it too much right now no I’m gonna try, but I’m so confused. Can somebody just give me a quick rundown of it?
I did go into PayPal and click the 20% for payments back, but I only have Chase cards and I have it tied to my checking account as well

I think that many of us are so used to other sites excluding gift cards and then having them pay out, that we are automatically assuming the paypal 20% is going to pay out. Remember, while pending points are always a first good step, they are in no way a guarantee of payable points. There is a report on DOC of someone claiming they spoke to someone at Paypal who said that all the points will stay pending until the promotion ends on December 8 and then paypal will look at all the transactions and see which ones are eligible. Personally, I wouldn't read much into a random report on Doc as some people like to make stuff up and who knows if paypal customer service even knows themselves what will be done with the promotion.

I would look at it as a 50-50 chance that gift cards do end up paying out. So as always, don't but thousands of dollars of gift cards with the payapl promo if you can't live with the possibility of not getting anything.

If you have a Target Redcard credit card, that will work for paypal pay in 4 but I believe Chase cards will not. Basically, paypal is running a promotion that if you activate the promotion and then choose pay in 4 at checkout, you will get 20% back in paypal points. The rules state that "Stored Value Cards are excluded" but people have gotten pending points for gift card purchases. That in no way means the points will actually pay out at the end.

If you do the offer, make sure to first save the offer to your account. Then when checking out, choose paypal and then pay later. Then make sure to choose pay in 4 but do not choose a credit card on that page (which actually unchooses pay in 4). You will choose a credit card on the next page and then it will do a soft credit check.

Also, many people have lost the option to pay in 4 once they use it the first time.
