The Target I frequent the most never has physical cards out. We have to open their wall of cards and dig for them ourselves. Most employees have no idea it even opens!

Actually an employee did try to help me and opened wall to look for cards. I also searched by every register. I asked if Target was no longer selling the cards but was told that they should be available but the vendor hadn’t resupplied them but I didn’t even see an empty spot where the cards would go. Anyway I ordered online and e-cards arrived in 5 minutes.

Went to 3 Target stores in Maryland today looking for Disney Gift Cards with no luck. Two of the stores had a few Disney + cards but no DGCs to be found. Really wanted the hard cards but went ahead and purchased online.

I have purchased physical cards online and they come in the mail. I monitor Informed Delivery so I pick up that days mail right away.

I keep a stash of cards and use them to immediately transfer any electronic cards.

Exactly. Much more secure to buy direct from the source (Disney Store). And it’s not expensive. $25 where all you get back is like 2% on your credit card is not that much lost savings for this security. Sometimes when I end up with Swagbucks I’ll use a $25 vgc to cover the $25 physical dgc.

Since we are a catch all gc thread- a sideline topic for those who fly. Got issued a seemingly useless United airline meal voucher (sent it half an hour after we finally took off). Been a long time since I had to deal with one but I vaguely recalled people loading their Starbucks account and tried that, worked fine. People also load Panera and Chick-fil-A accounts apparently.

I bought mine from Target to use one of their reward deals. Plus a bunch from Cub Foods last year when they had their "buy $100 DGC and get $15 Cub card".

Just an FYI that you no longer get the 3% credit card reward when you buy Disney gift cards at Sams if you are a plus member and use the Sams credit card. I did not get credit on my last purchase. I guess I need to go back to using a non sams credit card.

I posted years ago that I never received the extra cash back with the card and actually received 0% cash back when using the card while having a plus membership.

Some people have reported that they received it but since I didn’t I just moved off that card for GC purchases unless I buy one at a gas station as I would get the 5% there.

I didn't get anything but I'm ok with that since I still have the free circle offer I'm ignoring. It's still good for the same 20 days as the posted offer so I couldn’t do it if it was as big as those posted. But I do need one, been forever since I've been able to get a discount towards my and next year.

Thanks, that’s good to know. I had a big shopping trip to use a % off offer. Now it’s showing only $22 away from the earning the 360, which I don’t want. I still have 16 days left til it drops off. I was worried I’d accidentally earn it if I forgot & shopped there again.

You can also, if you do activate it, go in and turn off auto renewal.
