Oh dear we are only weeks away from a trip. And although I usually only spend gift cards for cruise payments I was planning on using a few for dining. I hope this works out.

I wouldn't be overly concerned, I've used gift cards for all purchases on property for years and this is the first issue I've had.

Just back from BB and wanted to share my in store experience.

I originally grabbed 5 of the $50 cards and asked the cashier to ring them up separately and he said no problem. He asked if I wanted to add my phone number and I declined. He was surprised when they rang up at $45, I mentioned the sale. He said he wished Nike GC's would go on sale. As he was ringing them up I had my daughter grab the last 5 we had found. At that point he called someone on his radio as he was unsure of a limit. He was told $500, not sure if that's a GC limit normally or just for this sale. He continued ringing them up separately. He caught the second to last card was only a $25 card and asked if I still wanted it and I told him no ans he deleted it. I had my daughter grab a variable and asked him to see if it would work and get the discount, he added $50 and it rang up for $45. I used 5 different credit cards to buy 2 DGC each as I didn't want the same card number to trigger anything.

So in total I got 10 in the store. 2 digital online and I have 2 for in store pick up on two accounts that were not ready for pickup by the time I got to the store.

As a bonus all the cards are they hard credit card type plastic.

I just got the email from American Express that I hit the offer. I had one small product order and the rest were DGC.

Datapoint for anyone who did the CVS amex offer. I got a 100 disney gift card yesterday right when they opened.
Already AMEX has credited 10 dollars back .Only took 36 hours and gift cards must not be excluded.
I'm going tomorrow to get another 100 on hubby's card to see if it triggers.

You can only buy Best Buy gift cards in store. Online goes through Blackhawk so it doesn’t code as Best Buy.

Gotcha! Seems like my regular and business accounts are both limited to one of each kind so I missed it. I'll try again in 24 hours + 1 minute. Work always gets in the way of these deals

So this timer is based on your last purchase that actually worked for that account or is it based on BB time where they update nightly at 12am CST/10PM PST?

Well, we’re always trying to do better about being safe here so if you don’t mind answering - was this digital gc recently acquired from a known merchant (you know like Best Buy, Target, Disney- the usual suspects vs bobs online discounts or something)? Also, it wasn’t still sitting in your email?

Anybody know a reason why BB would cancel my hubby’s order? He was logged into his act, and hadn’t purchased anything. I made one digital purchase logged into my own BB account. Are they running IPs now or what!? Geez.
