NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

Can you expand on how the SWA CC promo enhanced the deal and was it repeatable?
The SWA CC Promo the OP is referring to is a Chase Offer for giftcards.com of 5% back with a maximum of $50 back. This offer is still good until 12/31/24 and can be used once per card you have it on. I had the offer on several cards including ones that also earned extra for paying with PayPal.

Data point: I received all 10 $500 cards from GC (2 orders $2500 each for $2250 each). DVC dues are now paid! with 10% off! Thanks to all

Question: my capital one shopping didn't track correct even though I activated it from the email I received. On capital one shopping it says "ineligible" for each of the $2250 purchases. Anyone know a way to fix this.

If not, I'm still happy with 10% off the giftcards, but I want to see if I can fix this too.

Final update on my Disney gift cards from giftcards.com. My second order of three cards was scheduled to be delivered today, but I actually got them yesterday. Both orders triggered my chase offers and have received those as well.

Should I transfer these to some other cards I have that are empty right now? I have a few that I bought from BJ's with $50 on them that I transferred out so the only two transactions are them are the purchase and the transfer. They are empty now. Do you think it is safer to move the cards I just received from GC to my older empty ones? Or should just use the physical cards I got from GC? I wasn't sure if I can/should trust them any more or less than the ones I already have.

I know others like @gottalovepluto have had issues and recommendations before so I was just curious what people thought and are doing.

Personally I order fresh gc from Disney Store after each trip and transfer all the funds I acquire to those. No idea if it's safer or not, it just makes me feel safer.

working thru my dgc to pay my dues. 2 from HD for $20 each, the cardboard comes off when I try to rmove the sticker (using fingernail, not knife) and 1 from Target

the other target ones and from gc.com are ok
any suggestions?

so frustrating

i buy thru the year, keep them in a drawer than try to pay my dues at one time with them.

That happened to me once. I was able to use the card on location at quick services as they could scan the card. Doesn’t really help you with paying dues but at least the value of the card isn’t lost.

Not sure if you scraped the strip off or peeled it off but if you just peeled back the strip than you can firmly press the strip back over that space where numbers should be then very gently scrape the strip away and the numbers will be back. I’ve done this successfully a few times with the cardboard GCs.

This happened to me and I was able to press it back down in position and use a coin to scrape from the center instead. Then I could still read all the numbers. Now that it the only way I do it (use a coin and scrape from the center outwards).

i was trying to peel it off. tried starting from other end but numbers still came up
I'll try realty pushing it down again

of course the';re $250 each! and no trips planned. so maybe I need to plan a trip!
Did you try the barcode scanner app?

That will be able to read the numbers but not the ean. You can use that info and call support to tell them you would like to combine to a different card. They will ask for receipt information. If they can’t combine perhaps they can send you a new card.

Use "Scandit" app and @Tiggr88 you should take a look see on the following main pages of this thread:

And in the future NEVER peel the cardboard DGC’s. Only scratch, I find a dime works best.

I use a metal nail file, mostly because it's easiest to find metal thing when I need to do it. Coins go in my piggy bank and it's a pain to open to get a coin. It'd actually a monster, my actual piggy back is in storage in the garage until I have space to put it. Was used to save for a disneyland trip when my mom was growing up 🙂

LOL I never have coins either, I use my metal mail opener :-)

Giftcard .com chase 5% came through! That’s 13.7% off (I bought $1700).

My dues are $3450. The remaining $1800 were probably 10% off that I’ve collected throughout the year. Just paid off my dues. I’ll start collecting again starting July/August next year. Thank you all for the many tips!!!!
