Hey all, last time we went to disney it was genie plus and we had to pick one ride at a time. Can someone explain how it works in a little detail or point me to a video I can watch? We are going in November and I kinda wanna get a little knowledge on it. Been going to disney for over 10 years and boy do I miss Fast Pass....

The new system is called Lightning Lane Multi Pass and, for the individual rides, Lightning Lane Single Pass.

Watch Ear Scouts on YouTube. He has a lot of good information. Also Mammoth Club on YouTube is often recommended.

Eventually, there'll be a sticky on this board about the new system, but right now there's such a huge long thread that I hesitate to recommend it unless you have about 10 hours to read through it!

Edited to fix typo

currently watching mammoth club now actually! Basically just wanted to know if its like fast pass. Where after 3 rides are done, can you book another then another.

No. After you have tapped in at your first ride, you can book another. And it won't matter whether you tapped in at a tier 1 or tier 2 ride, you can book any tier after you've tapped in at that first attraction.

It is very similar to FP+. You can actually book another ride after you've tapped into the first one you reserved. You don't have to use all 3 before booking another. You can hold up to 3 at a time.

The newest version is more like FP+ than the original Genie+. This is just some of the basics:

You can reserve 3 rides in advance.

With FP+ you had to wait until after using 3rd FP to make another selection. With new G+ you get to make new selection after using first LL. You get 3 rolling selections (where FP+ just gave you 1 rolling selection for your 4th FP+ and on).

They brought back the tiers like they had with FP+. You can only book one Tier 1 in advance and the other two need to be Tier 2 selections. What works differently is that after using your first selection, you then have the ability to change to all Tier 1 (including modifying your original Tier 2 advanced selections to Tier 1).

ETA - another difference to FP+ is the individual LLs. There’s one or two rides per park not included with the multi-ll and need to purchased separately if you want them.

oh wow, so after each ride you tap in you can grab another? Do you all feel that there is a bunch of times for rides or is it kind of sparce?

This will depend on what time of year you're there and how crowded it is. The premiere attractions are sparse, however, times may drop during the day--so you'll be on the app a lot!

Also, in case you're unaware of this, if you're staying on-site, you can book your LLs 7 days in advance of your arrival at 7 a.m. Eastern Time. If you're off-site, you can book them 3 days prior to arrival.

There is a lot to know, to say the very very least. I've been reading about this and following the huge long thread here on the board for weeks and when I went to book my LLs 3 days ago I still didn't exactly know what I was doing, but it turned out okay.

BTW, if you have either an AP or a park hopper ticket, after you've used your first prebooked LL, you can book your next one in another park if you so desire.

And . . . since you're not going until November, who knows what will have changed by then! It seems like WDW has gone out of its way to make this system, whether it was G+ or now LLMP, as complex as possible.

ETA: And, in case you don't already realize this, like G+ (and unlike FP+), after you've used a LL for a particular attraction, you cannot get another LL for that attraction until the next day.

We used the new system last month and had no problem with it. We booked our 3 for each day before we left on our trip and purchased the individual lightning lane rides we wanted at the same time. My one tip would be to book your first ride early in the day so you can then start getting other ones.
