I think Disney should scrap this idea and find ways to bring back the Disney magic at affordable prices in WDW and DL.Interesting. I thought that's what "Celebration" was supposed to be in Florida. Can't wait to see what the prices are going to be (picturing $$$$$).
What do YOU think about it Buzz?

Affordable prices aren't needed as long as people are willing to pay the current price. Cheaper prices will mean MORE people in the parks, making it MORE crowded and harder to do things.I think Disney should scrap this idea and find ways to bring back the Disney magic at affordable prices in WDW and DL.![]()
I think Celebration doesn't come up because it's relatively expensive. Currently the cheapest homes listed there (3 bed/3 bath) are in the 600s.I read something about this a few days ago. It made me curious about how things are going in Celebration. I don't hear much about it, when people post threads about where to live in central FLA it doesn't come up much. I remember when it was built, my thinking was how could it be anything but great? Because this Storyliving idea seems similar to Celebration, I wondered how things are going in the original Disney designed town.
I got that email, also.I got an email about it the other day oddly enough.
I'm guessing these new places will be relatively high also.I think Celebration doesn't come up because it's relatively expensive. Currently the cheapest homes listed there (3 bed/3 bath) are in the 600s.

I'm pretty sure this is planned with the idea of retirees in mind. They want to out-Village the Villages.

It's been a couple of years ago but didn't Disney buy a big chunk of land...adjacent...to Disney World.Agreed. With all of that vacant space at DisneyWorld they could build 250,000 retirement houses.
